Bill Nevins August Flea Market Finds Bill is back with what he has found. As you can see from his description he has found a wide range of items. so let’s get started.
Bill Nevins August Flea Market Finds Treasure time
It’s been a while since I posted flea market finds. Nothing great, but some oddities and some things that I can’t identify.Probably the best are the Ideal Minnie Mouse and 2 out of 3 (Louie Dewey or Huey) and Pluto the dog.
Here we have a Auburn farm set. This is a small box set that contained all of the listed figures. The box is in beautiful condition.
Ideal Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and 2 Duck nephews. This was a really good find. I see that these are very difficult to find according to Kent. Editor’s note they were sold with either the pirate ship in different colors from ones with the pirates or a raft.
The Bartender. Timpo? I cannot find a Timpo marking on him. What set is he from? Editor’s note he is not Timpo but Dulcop. Delson of Toy Soldier Company brought a bunch in. I have one in my collection and he will go great with 60mm Marx figures.
Beton Bergen soft plastic NYPD in red and blue
Bill Nevins August Flea Market Finds More Items
These are copies of Cherilea or some UK maker. The strange thing is that they are true 54 mm scale. I put the Marx Pioneer in the photo so that you can see how tall these Indians are. I find these in 45 mm all the time, never this large. Made in Hong Kong.
I have not see one of these in a long time. Are they common? Its a TimMee tank that’s in scale for 54mm. I remember these as a kid. The whole line had huge vehicles, like tractor trailers and troop transports.
The turret has a head in it and there’s a jeep in the under compartment.
A Plasty swopett Knight with the bag. Cool figure!
UNKNOWN red cowboy flats.???editor’s note they are by Bonnie Bilt.
A working Tootsie Toy cannon
Some unknown train people. Some of these may find their way into my 65-70 mm Western Town. The farmers for sure and the Lady and Gent may be seen around town.
A lot of 23 MPC Japanese in a very nice Khaki color. I usually see these in a mustard color. These are close to the Marx color. Probably the best sculpted figures of the whole MPC line.
An unopened box playset Kingdom of Knight by Toy Major. This set has larger figures. That’s all I know about this set and company. Erwin may know more, I’m sure.
Finally, I also got a HUGE Playmobile castle # 3666 in a big 55 gallon plastic tub. All the paperwork, but no box. It gigantic!
Bill Nevins August Flea Market Finds Questions
Bill had the following questions.
Did that “treasure chest” come with the Minnie Mouse set?
It says “Lucky Tooth” on it. I took that to mean it was a toy to put a fallen out baby tooth under a pillow, for the tooth fairy. It’s the same color plastic and was with the bag of figures that the Mouse & Duck figures were in.
I remember that as a kid I had a long tractor trailer type army truck that was by TimMee. It was open with rails around the trailer part and hooked onto the cab.
It was big like the tank.
Ahoy there, I have in my collection all thee raft sets. Each one one came with I belive with 3 figures, treasure chest, barrel mast with separate sail. I also have the Micky Mouse old fasion pirate ship, and the pirite version as well. I,ll afriend post photos for Me.
In not order.

The tootsie toy cannon is a cloned crude copies of Crescent 18 pound cannon copied all over in decades by most HK makers. However this metallic color i had not see often.

Indians are copies of Crescent and crescent indians are about 52/54 mm not much taller than these as far i recall.
Hi Erwin, the Tootsie Toy cannon is a 25 lbr from WW2, so not a copy of the Crescent 18 lbr which was from WW1. It looks like a copy of the
Lone Star 25lbr to me which has been given spoked wheels instead of solid tyres and that is what threw you.
Brian.thank u x correct me.
I did overlook as never increase pictures while looking in photo.
And yes the typical tyres used in later copies of 18 pounder too.Give me wrong perceive.
Best…

Les, So the treasure chest is part of the set?
It was with the raft and I have to check Laurie’s Ship box to see if they mention it.
KUdos again Bill !
Is ther any way to tell if the tank is original or a re issue?
It does say Processed Plastic underneath not TimMee.
Erwin In all my years of collecting I have never seen those Indians in 54 mm scale. They are always undersize.
Were they available in h US?
