We have shown various Plasty figures over the last few months. While I like their western and  civilians I am not thrill on their medieval line.  I don’t why? The horses are excellent and the  figure is okay.  Still they are something I sort pass on them for the collection.

The Heritage Swappable Figures were created by Don Ducotte. Don is a big fan of the Timpo swoppet style figures.  He has done 1812, Vikings, knights and Robin Hood.  The figures are 54mm

I also like Don does non-action poses. Here we have a man pointing with his right hand while holding a paper in his left hand.  This is a figure that can be use various ways.  My only problem I have lost some the parts of the figures.  If you are interested you can see them here.

I was going through a box when I found my Tall Tale set from Subway. The movie had a young boy use several Western legendary figures to fight an evil land baron.  The legendary figures Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill and John Henry are close to 3 inches. The figure of the boy Daniel Hackett is 54mm.  He would be a great addition to a western scene.

Here is a resin figure that I have no idea who made it. Do you have any idea?

Final figure is a Nardi from Italy. His feather has broken off. The figure is a swoppet style figure. Also do you think the rifle is too big.

  1. The Nardi figures firearm might be okay if it is a musket but even then it is a tad too thick.

I love the Heritage figures and also the Plasty.

    I love Plasty all figures.
Knights are not impressive but I preffer over several other swappet brands such tall Cherilea, Charben.
Don’s figures are nice and intersting.
The figure w not weapon is either as navy officer or battle of New Orlean made for.He start a nice WW 1 line w french tank almost all plastic too recently.
The mounted subway figure is nice and never see at all.
I like it.The resin paratrooper is intersting.
    Another never seen before.
Nardi looks very late crude wasted mold South America factory to me versus ones I have w not mold excess.
Nardi did many series and various scales in the western range .The indian w eagle in hand is a nice figure.
Their romans, knights and Canadians are the best to me.
Also their true 1.32 scale Sherman ,Tiger tanks and 88 mm cannon…while their WW2 series soldiers are odd to me.
    My thought. ..
    Best…

    The Paratrooper is early Airfix

  4. Andy says:

Plasty has some great wagons and buggies. Chuck wagon is really a classic. I think their swoppets figures are a step below Timpo, but wagons are an upgrade. The Plasty pig roasting on a spit over the fire is one of the “treasures” in my collection. Their buildings are pretty good, too; colorful & sturdy.

  5. Erwin says:

Plasty western civilian line series of many poses is unique in the swapped toy figures brands too.
As Andy says the Plasty western buildings are great too as Khoels Comansi, Jecsan , Dulcop and Jean Hoeflers too.All less fragile than Timpo and Britain.Made of better long lasting plastic.
    My thoughts..
