Plastic Figure Showcase Foreign Figures April 2017 this time we will be looking at various foreign figures. First we will look at crusader that one would assume that it is Timpo, but it is not. Next I will show a Starlux cave man which is part of their extensive line of cave people they did. Finally we will show a few other interesting figures. so let’s get started.
Plastic Figure Showcase Foreign Figures April 2017 Kinder Egg Crusader
At first glance you would think that the above figure is Timpo Swoppet Crusader. Once you looked at the figure you would noticed that the top of the figure is flat. The Timpo crusader has a rounded head. There are other clues it is not Timpo: the base and red cross on its chest. What it is a Kinder Egg figure. The figure was made in 1976. They one other crusader running. I must have picked this one up in Europe.
Plastic Figure Showcase Foreign Figures April 2017 Starlux Cave Man
This one of the cave people that Starlux did. They did a wide range of figures which I will have to borrow from Laurie as she has all the Starlux cave people and dinosaurs. Also all Miller dinosaurs and aliens are in her collection.
Plastic Figure Showcase Foreign Figures April 2017 Other Figures
First up are two western figures. The one on the left is from Reisler of Denmark. The one on the right is Spanish. I believe it is from Jescan, but Erwin I am sure know who. The figure looks like has a support on the figure.
Going through the collection I found this soldier crawling. I have no idea who made it. Does anyone know who made?
Here are two Jescan Arabs. I got these two figures at a toy soldier show in the states. I have kept a look for these figures since then, but have not found anymore in the states.
I have these Crusaders.
They were made in Hong Kong in the 1960s by Ri – Ti Toys.
There are three different legs and four arm parts.
They had heater shaped shields with a red cross on paper stuck on them.
I have no knowledge of them being marketed by Kinder
I am basing my information on the Kinder Egg Catalogue 2017. On page 690, they show a similar pose difference is the one picture has a green base while my figure has a tan base. So it could be the RI-Ti or it could also be Kinder as well.
I have about 10 of these Crusaders in different poses. Nice looking figures similar to Timpo but there are suttle little differences. Im not sure who made them but I agree with Peter Evans that im pretty sure they are not from Kinder?
The cowboy on the right is Jecsan. I have It.

I know that the Jecsan ancient and medieval lines were available in recast about 15 yrs ago. Delson at TSC as well as ATS Toys had them. I use them as “Easterlings” in my Lord of the Rings set ups.
The crawling GI looks very much like the Marx Training camp figure. He has that here I am shoot my head off look.
I had those knights in my childhood in german Kinder eggs, so maybe both is right. Happy Eastern from good old Germany
Happy Easter to you Peter and everyone else. It is very possible that Kinder bought the figures from an outside source. They did with the little boy with a goose.
