Trying To Catch up Various Items Updates Etc. I am trying to get certain items posted before I forget.  The new Chintoys Austrian Napoleonic Staff are out and we have a preview. We have more information on Starlux.  I have some house keeping on how to send photos and material.

Set number six of the Chintoys Napoleonic Austrian Staff are out in Europe and will be here soon in the states.  The set has eight different figures.  We will do a review once we get pictures of the figures.  One of the figures is an Andreas Hofer who lead a rebellion against Napoleon. You will be able to see the figures here.

We have from Markus Lecksheid two interesting items  of Starlux. The first one is how Starlux was sold at the end. They did  figures and accessories in pastic for the equivlent of $6.00 U.S.

Markus also sent a photo of a Greek Evazona that Starlux. This one was also at the end of their production.  I had never seen this figure until now. As far as Markus know they did only one pose of the Greek Evazona.

I was going through the collection and found that I had a different Starlux Napoleonic Band figure. The figure is from the Super Starlux Series and is a bandmaster. The Super Starlux were a higher quality of figure in detail and quality.

Erwin has been doing some checking and  found that there is a big debate in France on whether it was made by Starlux. The piece was from Ima De Pose  who sold comic books and postcarda in France. A second figure done of a scuba diver by IMA is different from the Starlux skin diver. We will keep you aware of developments.

I contact Markus Lechseid about the Greek Evazona. Markus came back with information on ‘Starlux special figures’. Here is  what he found.

I did a quick review from the book of Jerry Meimoun and Alain Thomas on Starlux history (of course vol. 1 as they did a 2nd to cover all production, great guys, had the pleasure to meet them personally several times). According to their research the figure was specially designed for Texidor in the 60s and later distributed by IMA. So made by Starlux but of course not marked.
