More Readers Contributions April 2017 Bill Nevins
Bill Nevins sent two photos of the Starlux Napoleonic Band. These figures came from a collection of a Polish Merchant Marine sailor he bought. The set has twelve figures.
We will try to get you all the different poses in the set. I know that there are a band master, playing the snare drum and playing the basson.

As Kirk Larson mentioned in his comment, he is collecting Tootsietoy vehicles. He got a Tootsietoy. U.S. Army Set. He notice the figure above.
In the upper right hand corner is a 54mm soldier. As you can see the soldier is with a slung rifle. The figure is factory painted. Tootsie Toys is know for having figures out of the scale to their vehicles. KIrk wants to know if they did any other army figures. Checking Ebay I could find no sets available.

Bill Lango sent this photo of the Marx 60mm Army saluting recast done by the late John Stengel SR. The original figures are not easy to find. I wonder if his recast line will be continued or not.

Here is a figure I got many years ago. It is of a teenage boy sitting. Does anyone recognize it?
I love Atlantic figures as they did many interesting figures like the one above. It is two Indians carrying a dead deer. We will showcase Atlantic in the near future.
Finally I found this picture of an unpainted figure. This is something I sold years ago. It is a Starlux figure.
More Readers Contributions April 2017 Update
Here are the picture of the Realtoys.
Pictures show front one pack and back the sets they sold and made plus bunkers/bases.
The figures are 47mm tall.
Here is the figure Next to DGN and space marine figures.
Ok the TOOTSIE TOY set I got then under REALTOY Hong Kong distribution brand pack long ago .
They come out in 90s and in my opinion are 45/50 mm max high not 54 mm
The figures and poses resemble a lot or almost same of those made as micro machine by GALOOB and come so far in 4 different shame colors camo configuration.
There were 24 small sets under REALTOY name (mighty force)and two big base bunker play set.
Small sets come in blister card with 2 to 4 poses approx plus vehicles and accessories.
4 large blister card were sold too with more poses included wounded and surrendering I think.
So far are 22 poses by my account recollection. There could be more as I do not know if they did more.
The vehicles are pretty much in scale.Cannon, airplanes and ships are not in generally, trenches and barricades are well in scale with figures.
I got most big sets and the two bunkers .Still in packs mint .The fort base playset are (Thunder Fortress and Skull mountain.) Both could be easy converted and spay paint for any WW2 canon bunker else scene too.
I will send a handy pack picture to admin now and in future may do all rest pictures once dig all out.
You can google then more easy under (REALTOY) or Mighty Force Military Action Team by REALTOY
The horse is from former East Germany minor brand later issues in plain color not painted and come in bag head card with plain letters with cowboys an Indians I think mix .I got then .I will have dig it out.
The pose most be copied from original more older brand in the DDR best know .
Amin I will send u info soon for Mr Dittman .

Indeed Manurba sold it.
Thanks Andrey.
I’m wonder if pack I got is from Manurba or other .
I know was from Germany.
Once I dig it will see.
Yet same pose was paint made in old rubber in DDR too but base was different.
Best..
Peter Evans, Why is the Starlux Nap Band so hard to find?
Seated boy is part of the Susy Goose family figures included in their Motel and Supermarket playsets.
The above Napoleonic marching band if are the 1961.(Showed in 1965 catalog )To be found complete in box is hard indeed ,specially here in US .Is a nice sets and very unique in that condition.(Specially the plumes in bicorn and ornate cords of drums and instruments/tools plus swords often found broken)
However in French shows ,blogs and else it is showed as well in Belgium ,Spain, Italy and France shows pictures I had seen often.
Loose poses are in eBay and other sites often .Still the prices in Starlux could go insane per seller and because is the high mark worldwide French brand easy recognized too.
Regardless the entire series was complete new reissued-redone mounted in round high bases pedestal only with exact poses and colors in 1991-1992 as well.
The new remade(90s) had minor variation in colors and swords molded different too.
Ironical the 1991 version are apparently harder to find by some French collectors too.
best regards.
sorry 1966 ,not 1961..i may be wrong there ..
wish I had done much more starlux and atlantic in the day
Thanks Erwin. We can always count on you.
Got a bag of 4 90mm Ninjas for $1.00 at Dollar Tree. They seem to be based on the 45mm Ninja poses from the Imperial Pirates VS. Ninjas tube of a few years ago.
http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq316/Thor_Head/IMG_20170403_174555_zpsyjd00wau.jpg
Mark you say (90 mm ) !?
So these are copies of same 6 poses made in 45 mm two or 3 years back and sold by Imperial and Oriental trading?
Hey Erwin,
They are actually about 95mm. There were only 4 poses which I showed in the picture. I am not sure if other poses are available in the series as I bought the last bag in the Dollar Tree I visited. I have the feeling that there are only 4 poses based on the bags of 90mm “Army Men” that have been in Dollar Tree for the last few years.
These Ninjas are different from the 45 mm Imperial/Oriental Trading figures only in size and in that the figures have Ninja cowls on their heads instead of the bald Shaolin Monk look of the smaller figures. These figures are in a nice soft plastic and are imported by Greenbrier Intl.
Thank you Mark x the heads up and news.
I will definitely get then if see around as match the new recently done in Russia 90 mm scale ninjas plus other I have..
Interesting in the more Ninja headwear style made in these.
Well, something new after years in dollar tree not bringing nothing; least..
best..
You are welcome, Erwin!
Another difference I just noticed is that the large sized equivalent of the throwing star ninja has no stars. Same pose, just an open hand and a closed fist instead of two stars.
They are nice figures and look pretty well proportioned for Dollar Tree figures. They are too big for my Oritet Ninjas, but should work well with the more recent 90mm Russian Ninjas.
