The boys have a new neighbor, a rabbit that is living under our hedge in the front of the house. The rabbit has been around for awhile in fact we have several of them in the area. This one sits in the lawn and watches as the boys go out for their walks. The boys will make a move for the rabbit, but I pull back on their leashes to keep them away from the rabbit. The rabbit might be a female and we will see if that is true.
We also had a little bird that was looking at itself in the car’s right side mirror in the morning. I saw this for a few days but the bird has disappeared.
The picture is of a rabbit that was in the neighborhood last year.
A cute rabbit. We’ve got a few in our neighborhood too. Lately, they’ve been dining on the lettuce, carrots, strawberries, and flowers in our backyard garden. I don’t mind. I know they have to eat, too. A well-documented historical note: The four top leaders in the American Civil War — Abraham Lincoln, U. S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis — are all on record as expressing concern about kindness to animals.
