Marx Prize Livestock Hereford Cow Maybe Maybe Not I love junk boxes.  They give  me a challenge can I make a profit?  It is very rare that I do not make profit.  I can analyze  box and know what will sell and not. The bonus is what I can else I find  in the box.  In my latest junk box I found Hereford cows.

Marx did a series of 10 different animals called Prize Livestock. One of the animal was the Herford cow.  Marx did the animals in cream or tan. They have also shown up in gray. This is because they were from the landfill where the cream reacts with ground.  The Herford cows I have are in a brown and black.  Also the Herford cows are hard plastic.

I could just list them as Marx, but I felt need to check more. I contacted Kent Sprecher as he has an extensive collection of Marx. He felt they were done by Tonka for a truck. This is a strong possiblity so I have listed them as such.

Here is another piece found the junk box.  It is half Man half jackal.  The figure is 2  1/2 inches tall. On the back is CH Hong Kong with a number. I am curious if there are other figures made in the series and who made it.

Here is another example from the junk box . It is a plastic rickshaw made in Hong Kong. This looks like a fifties toy. It is marked up Hong Kong but no company name.

Thing is most readers  of this site. will take a look and they may share information they know on that item. Some people will have very detail ground breaking information that will change the perception of an items.  Then there some who will not accept change.

The one area we are getting disagreements on our postings is on Blue Box. These complaints are by Hugh Walter. He is complaining about Erwin Sell making up stuff on Blue Box.  Hugh also complained of an article Erwin did about the Blue Box Russians. He complained it was the third time that it had been done.  It was very interesting that Hugh would complain on repeats when he posted a picture of Clarence’s tabletop battlefield. By the time Hugh had posted it Timmee Army and I had already posted it.

While the article may have been done before, for many of my readers it was new. I was very pleased with the response and I have told Erwin to do other Blue Box articles.

In regards the accussation of Erwin making up stuff it is interesting that no one else has disagree on Erwin’s Blue Box finds.  As your complaint of no part three Blue Box, it is coming with a lot of new information. In the mean time we will have short articles on Blue Box. This will be along with our regular postings.
