Brian McIver Painted Figures August 2016, Brian is back with a nice variety of figures. Brian has painted these figures to enter in the Michtoys Contest. I am sure you will enjoy his figures.
Brian McIver Painted Figures August 2016 Atlantic Figures
We start off with some Atlantic Western Figures. The set of photos are a two figure set from Atlantic Custer.
The Atlantic set is remembered for its Cavalry figures have been hit by arrows.
The other painted figure that Brian did is a Wild Bill Hickok . This figure was part of the Atlantic Outlaws and Sheriffs. I think this is one of the most desire Atlantic western sets. It is because the hanging man and outlaw being dragged by horse. These poses were not in every set. There are a lot of great poses in the set. It is one of my favorite sets.
Brian McIver Painted Figures August 2016 Other Figures
We have another painted figure from Brian McIver. I do not know what figure he is using offhand. We will get an update from him and add that information.
The final figure we have from Brian is a conversion that is doing for the contest. The figure is Confederate soldier. I like the head he put on the figure.
Here is another view of the figures. We will wish him well.
Finally Brian informs us he has one of his slave cabins we showcase before sale. I comes with two slave. If you are interested please let us know and we will pass your email to him.
The Mexican is a TSSD Mexican.
Great paint jobs.
Very well done, specially the Atlantic US cav and WBH.
One question. The US mark in horse was used as/like that???
I agree the hanging Atlantic set is one of best, the US two cavalry(camping) and other are one of the US cavalry ever done in poses and realism. The Gatling gun and carriage/caisson are great too!!
Hi Erwin. I painted the U.S. cav figure years ago. I don’t really know if they had the “U.S.” marked on there horses like that. I just took a bit of artistic license when doing it I seem to remember. I have all the cavalry, cowboy & indian sets plus lots of loose figures. I love painting them.
The stampede set has some great long horns in it too.
Thanks Brian.
Awesome job!!:-)
army horses were branded with a “US” mark. from what i can find, during the civil war and indian wars it tended to be on the left shoulder, sometimes with additional marks. i do not know if the location changed later. there are pictures of current government horses with US brands on the right hip. great painting by Brian.
Thanks.Never noticed.
One more detail to look now.
I appreciate your information.
Nice work Brian.
I really like the patches on the knees & the fine details of the faces. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Very Nice painting Brian, Very detailed work and I especially like the different tones of colour in the clothing of the figures, Well Done.
Yes I would be interested in Brians slave cabins. They look very nice and would go well with my civil war train set.
I have sent your email on to Brian
Some great paint jobs Brian. I bought some of those Atlantic Western sets for my little brothers one Christmas. I always got a kick out of them; I remember all the 7th Cavalry guys with arrows sticking out of them and thinking I never saw a bunch of guys apparently so enthusiastic as they got massacred.
Really nice job! Although the poses on those Atlantic figures are often unique, I think the sculpts are weird looking, with big heads and bandy limbs. All that disappears with a great paint job. Amazing. I would never have thought that painting them could have done that.
Nice !
Very nice work Brian and thanks for passing along Stad. Dennis DeRusha
