The Russian all do typical Russian base in painting ,I had found out their armor is very similar used by Bulgars ,Bizantines ,Kazars ,Estonian and other Baltics as well some of eastern and northern Persian armies of late empire-IV-VI century AD.
Could well be used for those. Great sculptures. The only thing that I do not like is when figures have the arms across body or too attached to, so are hard x variation.
I consider it more 2D than 3D pose, sample the Viking with axe back the shield is barely in reality able to charge a good strike with ax like that.
I know I been a bit picky here, sorry . Just a minor observation.
I general ,once again Russia beat every body again in the hobby now with over 6 sets done and 5 more coming in just 3 month of this year. That is 11 new sets.WOW!!!
