Peter Evans Surprises
One of my enjoyments is getting one of Peter Evans Sunrises. Peter Evans Surprises arrived every few months from our very good friend Peter Evans in the mail. I had met Peter too many years ago at the Plastic Warrior Show. We soon became friends. From this friendship came us exchanging plastic figures.
This latest Peter Evans Surprises came up with some interesting figures. The first photo shows a cowboy stepping back. The cowboy stands about six inches high. I have no idea who made it.
The next photo shows some of the items you will find blind bag capsules and Kinder Egg . The first two Hulk and Spider-man are part of a series Avenger Assemble. The series is done by a company called Zuru. These series has five different figures Incredible Hulk, Spider-man, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America. These figures may be available in the United States. Kinder Egg is doing a series of Minions. I have enjoyed Kinder Eggs for the various toys they have put in their capsules. Peter is aware that mailing Kinder Eggs inside to the United States is illegal so I only get the capsule.
Another blind capsule that is being run in the United Kingdom is Star Wars key chains. The photo shows Boba Fett and Han Solo.
Another part of Peter Evans Surprises is to received some of Peter Evans’s conversions. His latest conversion he sent me was a roman leading a charge. The figure is 54mm and I am sure it was done by Peter to do a pose he had wished that the toy soldier companies had made.
The last photo is of three Muslim Warriors that I believe that Peter has done. The poses are Muslim Warrior with spear and shield, Muslim warrior dancer and Muslim warrior playing a drum. These figures are 54mm.
What surprise that will be in the next Peter Evans Surprises, only Peter Evans knows.

The Muslims in black look just like the Muslim invading army from North Africa that crossed over into Spain in the movie “El Cid”, with Charleton Heston.

The big Cowboy was made by Cherilea around 1969
I made the Moor warriors ( the one with the arms raised is an Imam, chanting a prayer) to fit in with the Reamsa El Cid Moors
The poses looks very alike Reamsa ,so the clothing, but a bit different. Nice work. Are they 60 mm as Reamsa !?
The Imam looks like (Yusuf) or Yusuf ibn Tashfin from the movie(El Cid) in the scene right after he Torture and murder the capture Spaniard knight and start calling x war against the infidels.Nice pose .
Never knew Cherilea did so large figures, nice pose ,too bad so tall.
Do they did more figures or set of this scale?
Are the mean to compete with Marx in any sort when done!?
