Timpo was very successful in selling their figures in Germany. Timpo’s success forced other companies to imitate them. One of those company was Plasty of Germany. Plasty did modern army, knights and western. The figures are 54mm and are nice. Because they either did not know or want to pay to do it Plasty did not do overmoulding like Timpo, Plasty did their pieces in one solid color and then put them together to make a figure. As you can see in the picture above the arms with the rifle are the same on each figure but in different colors.
When Laurie and I first went to Germany for the Germany Plastic Show, I bought several big bag of parts for western figures. When we got home I made them up into various figures and sold them in groups. We had fun time selling them to collectors.
The best thing that Plasty made were their wagons especially the chuck wagons as they came with lots of accessories. These wagons are harder to find these days and are in demand in Germany.
