I recently got to see some pictures of me at the Marx Meet from 1987. I feel I am a little thinner today, but I can be wrong. It was an interesting meet. I got lost getting there and I must have done well from my sales as I bought some Marx 60mm Silver Korean Warrior figures from Peter Fritz. I still remember Peter in shock of me buying the figures.
I did not get to the show in Maryland last week due to a snow storm. I will not do shows if the weather is bad with snow or ice. I can drive in it, but I am not in the mood to deal with the idiots out there. Last time I was in accident with snow was coming home from a meal. The guy hit me in the front, but I was able to drive home. The fun began afterwards. the guy was driving his girfriend’s car and she had no insurance. She tried to have me not go to my insurance company by telling her boyfriend would fix it. I refused as I know this game. She gave me her old insurance company which she let lapse several months early. I turned it over to my insurance company and they paid to get the car repaired.
Several months later the insurance company asked if I would testify against the other party as they were going after the person for the bill. After three times, we finally had the hearing at a district judge about 30 miles away from our home. The hearing was very interesting, I gave my side then the woman gave her side which was it was not her car? The judge ruled in favor of the insurance company. The hearing was on my birthday and was one most interesting things to ever happen to me on that day. We went to a now closed hobby shop and I bought some figures to celebrate.
I did hear the Maryland show went on and it was a mix of toy dealers and antiques dealers. The weather will be good this Sunday for the toy show in New Jersey so Laurie and I will go to it.
