Pvblivs Hundred Year’s War figures one more set of figures shows up just before the end of the year. Pvblivs Hundred Years’ War represents one of the major wars between France and England. The Hundred Years’ War lasted from 1337 to 1453. The war started over the succession of the French king. This war had various phases with many famous wars including the Battle of Agincourt. The battle is famous for how a smaller English force defeat a larger French force. The Hundred Years’ War continued back and forth until England lost most of its possessions in France.
The Hundred Year’s War represented a change in warfare. The heavy cavalry (knights) once considered important of the army by the end of the war lost it due to the longbow and firearms. The war saw the rise of French nationalism. England without of most its French lands change its desires toward exploring.
The Pvblivs Hundred Year’s War set contains twelve figures representing the Battle of Poiters. The figures are divided in two groups of six figures. One set of six figures is in red should be English. The other set of six figures is in blue which should be the French . The six poses in red are on the top row are men at arms with halberd at waist, knight with mace pointing with left arm and men at arms advancing with knife. The lower row has a men at arms firing a long bow, knight advancing wit mace and sword and knight advancing with two hand axe.
The six poses in blue are a knight with crossbow at waist, knight with axe at waist, knight with sword off to the side and shield, knight with two handed sword ready to swing and knight advancing with axe and shield.
The detail is very good. Once concern is the plastic used by Pvblivs. The plastic fragile and with these figures costing eight Euros or $8.72 a figure this is a concern. Hopefully Pvblivs will change the plastic in the future.
We would like to thank our friends at the French Plastic forum for their help.
Nice figures. The only figure I don’t like is the Crossbowman who looks like an Elven warrior from LOTR. These should fit in with Ex Force 100 Yrs War figs.
I’m sorry, I positioned this set as Battle of Azincourt, but today Publius told me wht it is Battle of Poitiers.
Please change main article.
I like the blue knight swinging the battle axe. The red one with the mace and sword is good too, wish he was facing forward though.
Definitely the armor represent very early period of the war.Could well be use for any generic western period medieval army/wars as well. I had complain about the extremely so bad plastic in this forum and others before for so costly price plastic figure, after a test -resale on both Russian brand. If I will ever carry any, will be EB brand only as their sets are with more figures-poses/varied, better plastic and in nice historical case than all Publius.
On top of the fragile, they only simple bag them ,not even cases. Sorry but either we our self put a top limit to the prices or soon these sets will be $10.00 per figure or more …
If were professional painted I will understand a bit increase as near elastolin painted value per figure. But bad plastic, limited poses/figures, unpainted, shipping and high price is a big stop, not only high price but it had increase recently too.
Good luck with then from now.Definitely nice figures but fix some problems/issues before continued for sake of respect to our hobby . And I’m not along in the complain I had others from Europe as well doing it. I had several fellow collectors telling me not buying at all even they admire the sculpture work.
I’m not encouraging any type of boycott at all just giving my voice and point in honor of some others friends, collectors and customers plus myself regarding this matter.
Great figures- I hope they can solve their distribution and pricing issues. Where’s Louis Marx when you need him?
BEST SCULPTS in the BIZ!
Whats up with the watermarks on the photos?!
What? They dont want someone stealing their photos?
Isn’t that the point, for people to spread the photos around for good promo?!
I’m hoping our hobby takes on better buisness practice for the new year!!
I saw the first sets listed on ebay.
Wonder how many will paid the price listed for, not counting the shipping.

They are lovely figures, but at that price (about $9.50 each including shipping) they would have to be for painting and display – especially if the plastic is fragile. I’m not in that market. I want my figures “playable,” with a reasonable chance they can hold up to lots of handling, dropping, and maybe even kids. For the time being I’ll stick to more commercial figures. The Lanard Corps Elite are still plentiful at Walmart, though the price has gone up a dollar to $9.93. The Blue Box soldiers and pirates have sold out at my local Meijer. Here’s hoping the Blue Box fantasy warrior bucket makes its appearance soon at Target or Meijer.

I do not blame you for passing on the Pvblivs figures. The cost like you saw put them out of playability to pieces on a shelf. There are other options I find figure in junk lots or the 50 cent box just as interesting.
