In 2002, I found a frozen pizza in a local supermarket that’s “sell to” date had expired in 1997! I should have bought it and out it on ebay.

It is crazy what you can sell on Ebay. I have sold all kinds of wierd items.

I can remember seeing a similar Lido Box set of Foreign Legion/Arabs but was with my Dad and not Mom when I spotted it and no way was he going to spend money on Toy Soldiers.
Back when I was regularly watching “Captain Gallant of the Foreign Legion” on TV each week, I would have given my eye-teeth to have gotton that colorful Lido boxed Foreign Legion/Arab set.
But I think my experience would have been the same as Brian’s: my mother would have given in and gotton it for me; my father would have shaken his head “No”.
