Alain Thomas of France sent me this listing of a very rare Cherilea box that combines Cleopatra, Egyptians and Romans. This is the first time I have seen this box. The item is not cheap nearly $699.99 in U.S. dollars.

It is indeed a very rare all in one historical set. But I also saw it before listed with out sale once(about two month ago)!?;so least second time listed. It remain me of Reamsa and other Spaniards sets sold in cases with movie/else titles. I think the price is just because of rarity and condition, they could well ask x more. Again it is up to a collector with specific like and money to buy it.
Another rare set I found listed least twice again is in this link. Look one vehicles least looks cloned or copied from American firm tim mee wile others are original French made. Figures are Cofalu original painted .I never seen all in one set together, most sold independent.
I was lucky have the tank and armored before but only unpainted figures years ago.

Interesting that the box art is clearly wild west in theme, as is the desert background.
I showed this box set in the PW Roman Special
Peter
Yes I see it on page 29 of the Plastic Warrior Roman special. I missed it as your special has so much to look at I could spend hours on it.
This same set turned up at the Plastic Warrior show last year where it was offered at £300 but didn’t sell and later turned up in auction at Vectis, so it’s been doing quite a circuit!
Apparently is a hard to sale!! set. Still I consider the rare set configuration in price!!.Just that the figures had been bought by most collector already in separated way plus the reissues later sold. So it has to be a Cherilea fan collector with that money the right buyer.

It is interesting how certain items keep popping up.
Is it SUPPOSED to be packed in a cowboys and Indians box, or is that an error?
At least it’s not bunnies or Barbies, I guess.
I don’t know what set referring too but both cases were typical generic used as many factories did and do still; showing all figures, included Indians and cowboys titles and image set x advertised. No error. Cherilea case show title of many other set ,Cofalu show cowboys, knights and army in others pictures
I look well will see other era figures as medieval and army listed images in edge of border box..
cool!
Here’s a personal story.
Back in Liverpool when I was seven years old my parents an I went to visit some relatives who lived the other side of the city.
As neither of them drove we had to get the bus but there was no direct one so we had to change. When we got off the first bus we had to wait at the bus stop which was next to a sweetshop and in the window, with a lot of other toys was the Cherilea set.
As it was an evening the shop was shut.
I wanted that set so badly but I knew that there was no way my mum or dad would travel right across town just to buy me that, so I remained silent, hoping that I might see in in another toy shop nearer to home. Alas I never did
I always remembered that set but every collector (including the near legendary Barrie Blood) had never hear or seen it and I began to think I might have imagined it, creating in my memory a set that I desired but was never produced.
You can imagine when this set turned up and my memories were vindicated !
Wouldn’t pay three hundred quid for it though !

I had the same experience on the Speedwell armor car on fire. I saw years ago in Gimbels Department Store, but my father would not buy it as he had just bout me two Elastolin figures. For years no one would believe it existed until I held at your old pace that was being photographed for PW.
Nice tale Peter, sad moment memory, yet happy what you saw become real to those who doubt your words. I had got same experience too with items I saw but can not happen to find or see later. Some times make other think I’m crazy or making up. Some times imagination take us off but when something so great as this set is seen you can not forget at all!!
