We have seen reports on the web that Hat is getting back into 1/32 scale production. Their first new product is to be Austrian Napoleonic Infantry(subject to change). There is talk that you would get different heads in box to represent the different head gear. No talk on how many poses and figures, I feel it will similar to what they have done in the past.
There is a report that Hat has reissued their Carthaginian elephant, but that has not been confirmed.
I got a chance to stop into Toys R Us recently and gave a check on what they had that might interest us. They are carrying the Walking Dead items including the blind bags. I do not remember if this was out before in the True Legends line they have knights in their figure buckets. The figures are downsize copies of knights that have been out on the market. In the True Heroes line the is a Tank and Hummer you might want to look at.
One of the reasons I went into Toy R Us was check the Schleich line of DC superheroes. We mention them before and I want to see it they had them which they did. They had a special where you bought one figure you got the second one at 40% off the price.
One other thing I saw that I liked was the Playmobil 4796 – Camouflage Pirate Fort. the fort is designed as a two story house and I feel it has lots of possibilities
Getting back to Schleich DC Superheroes I have seen a report that they will be adding Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Aquaman to the line.
If the Hat NEW coming is true. I’ll be happy.
I personally like Hat more than A call to arms,Italeri and few others because of the variety and parts/head change plus sculpture ,even their size runs more in the 1:35 scale. Before the stop releasing few years ago they had 4-6 sets half way done. Among them G hopolites,ancient slingers and Bizantines light infantry .Because the new wave of ancient/classic era sets by EXF and now LODI right after TSSD and Conte plus Chinese sets.I will think Hat should go with those first to increase sale quick. Even the scale won’t match to well between HAT and EXF-LODI ; back when they start with Punic war sets right after the CTS two Punic war sets neither company match the scale or style/sculpture still people bought them together to increase their armies of same era.
Italeri had done two infantry Austrian set for Napoleonic wars. And so far are the least sold among for many reason. So another infantry set of same era/corps would be like too much in a series of not much sale. So far the prototypes of HAT Napoleonic Austrian look very alike as italeri in hats and uniforms (1797-1810).My opinion and thoughts.
