Sorry for not posting but I have been busy with other projects and have finally got a chance to write. I finally got out to my Wednesday market after being rained out two weeks in a row. I usually do not find much at this market, but you never know. One time I found a Peco Davy Crockett without accessories. Today I was able to get two gallon bags of plastic figures. While the bags had common and damaged figures I did find a nice group of plastic Auburn army to make it worthwhile. The other markets I have been visiting have been quiet, I have found some nice little items including Bachman planes. what was nice on these planes were they were all World War One. The other item I got was the complete collection of Ernie Kovacs DVD. I grew up with Ernie as he started in the Philadelphia area and I saw some of his shows. The DVD has many his rare shows which I will enjoy.
Lod Enterprises is showing on their twitter and Face Book accounts photos of their figures being put together in the Chinese factory they are being made. I am sure that collectors will be happy to see these figures.
On July 31 and August 1, I will have my last major toy event of the summer the Das Awkscht Fescht in Macungie Pa. The show started out as an antique car show with a spot for toys mostly automotive. Over the years the toy show moved from the antique car show to its own location in a near by school. With that move the show has gone through numerous changes of growing and subtracting. The show is two parts and outside area which dealers started setting up on Friday and an inside area which opens on Saturday, there is no idea what will turn up. Last year a party got a Marx Johnny Ringo out in the outside area.
This was the first toy show I ever did. My father and I went over to the toy show when it was inside the antique car market. I have been going every year since and I have no idea what will turn up as competition will hard. Last year I got a break as some of the people did not come out Saturday because in their area it was pouring rain, while at the show it was overcast. This year I know these people will be up at the show. I will be over the two days to check things out but mainly to see friends. If I get anything it will be a bonus.
