The figure on the left is an original Stuart the one on the right is a copy from Hong Kong.
You can tell the difference as the Hong Kong version has a hollow body where the original has a solid body. I have no idea where the Hong Kong was used.

still look very close to original, good copy I should say
Good info Paul !
I was wondering if you find it in the same lot as Marx HK blue cowboy mounted!
My HK cowboy mounted came in the playset with lido cloned horses.
Yes I have some of the copies. Nicely done and work well with Payton and Lido figures.
There is a web site all about Stuart figures. Here is a link to part of it about “Stuart Knockoffs” http://dkmoon.tripod.com/copy.html
I really love the Stuart horses, some of the best sculpted ones around and in realistic , sometimes, colors. I like their Roy rogers figures, but I think their generic mounted figure looks a lot like Jay Silverheels as Tonto.

Thanks for sharing the site lots of great information.
I have a light brown painted version of this marked ‘England’
I thnk that the Stuart horses are great with Marx 60 mm tacking and Marx 60 mm Cowboys and Cavalry riding atop them. Great colors also.
I do have some that have started to show crack lines in them.
Anyone else have this problem?
