Marx 60mm Cowboy in Light Blue Reissue

060

I picked this figure up this weekend.  I knew the figure was a reissue, the seller asked where it was from a Lincoln Log type  set that used reissues from Mexico. Can anyone confirm or deny the that information.

Interesting, I’ve seen re-casts of the town cowboys, but not that particular pose. In fact none of the riding poses. All the re-casts I have seen were in black and not even all of the foot poses seem to have been re-done. Of course that’s all that I have seen which doesn’t mean they weren’t re-cast.

4 poses were done in brown dense plastic. I turned mine into Confederate raiders and I think Paul posted the pics some time ago. I wouldn’t dare chop up originals unless they were pretty badly damaged.

  3. Yes Lincoln Logs used LEYLA of Germany figures in blue and then Louis Marx town cowboys in blue in their largest sets. I think 1985-1995 time frame.

The Leya figures used in the Lincoln Log set were from Mexico as the molds had been sold to Mexico. Dinamicos had the Army Jeep with seated figures from Leya which they sold with the Marx 60mm U.S. Army
