Our very good friend Erwin Sell sent these easy to do conversions
Made out of original poses Airfix German paratroopers I did these early conversion in the 90’s
Right side figures are conversion made, left side poses/figures column are original where the figures were cut and extract from
Marx recast Eskimo /trappers artic figures with Airfix Afrika Corp heads are to represent either German alpine(Gebirgsjäger) troopers, Finnish /Scandinavian soldiers too.
The cannon is all made out of scarp plastic kit parts /else to represent a (7.5 cm Leichtgeschütz 40 ) recoilless gun .
Note I’m not a professional and these are just easy to do conversion using simple tools that I made back when no one was making literally any plastic new figures, paint was add after to cover the cuts, later better painted figures were done as I acquired more experience, but now no much time.
Nice.
Cool!!!
Just for giggles, I did a count of my Alamo conversions, I currently have 94 done. I’ve been busy I guess.
Do you mean you’ve done 94 “in all”, or do you mean you’ve got 94 new ones ready for OTSN?
I’ve got 94 ready for OTSN and 3+ months to do more. Working on a two man conversion right now. A Texan about to bash in a head with a rock engaged in hand to hand on the ground, mostly anyway. Running low on parts again, but I see more on the way.
I like the German mountain troops the best ,great eye to see the conversion possibilities of the Marx Eskimos, trappers !
Some good ideas, there. I liked the AT gun and crew, but the Gebirgsjaeger are a close second for me.
Oops, 99.
