The 30th anniversary figure for Plastic Warrior is Alan a Dale the minstrel from Robin Hood. The figure is sitting playing the lute. This year’s Replicant set from Peter Cole is four smugglers which can also be used as pirates. They are influence by the Doctor Syn books by Russell Thorndyke and we should see more in this series from Peter Cole.
The Plastic Warrior Show was a success with over two hundred people through the door with collectors from Australia and Germany. The dealers room had an international feeling as well with dealers from Belgium, Australia and Germany.
We will have more information coming in and pictures. Photos of Plastic warrior figure and Replicants new release should be up on Steve Weston’s site this week. We will have samples of the figures coming in next month.
Plastic Warrior is really a nice magazine, which always has Replicant make a nice show figure. I still have about 15 of it’s 24th foot figures from a few years back, standing at attention, which makes a nice addition to the Conte line of 24th foot, since when you put 15 of them together, they make a nice reserve unit standing in the back of the troops manning the barricades, ready to spring into action to fill the breach whenever a breakthrough occurs.
So I’m looking forward to seeing the new Allan-A-Dale pose from this year’s show, along with the 4 new Replicant smugglers. I agree —- they should make excellent pirates.
