Our very good friend Mathias has posted up on the French Plastic Forum and Treefrog forum the latest set from Pvblivs. The set is Battle of Brest-Litovsk set 2, Naval Infantry. This the second set on the Battle Brest by Pvblivs. The figures fit in in with TSSD, Conte and CTS. The figures are slightly bigger than Airfix. Mathias has put pictures up on the Treefrog forum of the poses and figure comparison well done Mathias. Note we did talk about these figures in December. I think that Mathias finally got these figures.

like always these figures sculpted are awesome, poses and dynamism great too!!.uniforms and historical detail too, included the NKVD poeses
Just as other set of same battle I will prefer use for later action from late 1941 till war end. Reason ;the two poses from both set with German MP40 SMLG.The battle of Brest-Litovsk took place in the first hours/days of operation Barbarossa. the garrison of about 8-9000 was literally took by surprise , initially suffer great casualties and less than third did the hard heroic fighting by in retreat and reduced hour by hour/days situation/action order till surrender after suffering over 2000 deaths. No Russian or German war report claim any German being taken prisoner ,neither Russian counter attack. So where the german weapons captured come form in these first few hours combat in two poses top be represented!??
Once again excellent figures but more rather for other action if using capture enemy weapon in my historical point view and opinion. And I know most will not care but is my saying base in fact that set is call for that “specific battle” only.
You’re right, it’s Sebastopol Battle.
Erwin, buddy, you’re slipping! Only the figure on the bottom right has the MP-40. The other has a Ppsh-41 with stick mag.
Greg ;I may miss written it.I was referring to the one MP40 pose in each set ,thinking when this was posted first as (new set)or second set depicting another soldier with German weapon. But was corrected as is the same SET as previews released set .It was a confused title only. Any way I had notice the repeated pose with german weapons too often like all Hollywood movies full of german soldiers with MP40,not realistic pose as less than 1 million were ever produced and . German soldiers were over 18 million.
That was my opinion base critique . Ironical- Russian have much more soldier armed with semi or full fire power infantry weapons during war. And german often used more the PPSs(more than 6 million produced) and it has not been done in any plastic figure yet.
ok the picture show the same listed in December as (battle of Sebastopol marine infantry), are they same figures used for another battle or there is another set with different poses!??.
Erwin
You are correct the figures were featured in December. I thought it would be good to make collectors aware of this new batch of photos as it gives great close up these great figures. Also Mathias has done a great service by showing the figures with other companies’ figures. As the different name for the figures Mathias or Breizh can answer that question.
ok thank you, no wonder they look so same, my bad..
For the battle of Sebastopol are very historical correct as it depict the marine soldiers ,not available in defense of Brest battle!!

Maybe they will show up at Indy next week. Maybe TSSD will carry them. Maybe Steve Weston will have a few sets at OTSN in 6 months. Anything except forcing me to go on a Russian language website and trying to order them direct from Russia.
Engineer Basivitch (not sure about the spelling) now has an American distributor/retailer — TSSD. This allowed me to easily and conveniently purchase their Ancient Hebrews and Castro Cuban sets. Why can’t Pvblivs reach out and do the same? Do they not realize that the U.S. is at least as big a market as Russia and Europe? I like this new set. I wish there was somewhere I could easily obtain it, without waiting for OTSN in 6 months where Stengel or Weston MIGHT have it.
Don
People have tried to deal with Pvblivs on bringing the figures to the United States with very little luck. The big stumbling block has been the price of the figures and the discount that Pvblivs wants to give. Engineer Bassevitch has become a little less difficult, but still remain expensive. TSSD is getting their sets of EB through Steve Weston who has a contact for them. Denitz who posts here occasionally is very good dealer from Russia and reliable. It is a hassle but the figures are a very worthwhile endeavor to get.
I’m ordering 4 sets. (for conversions too)
I’m so relieved I finally scored the Brest Fortress set, cost me $100.
Pvblivs makes limited run sets for the die-hard collectors and their niche subjects.
5 glasses of wine at a lounge or one set of toy soldiers?
My mistake… it’s Sebastopol Battle.
Mathias
No problem we all make a mistake or two. I really appreciate the work you did to showcase the figures.
