One of the pieces of information that came out of Toy Fair was that the Star Wars Command Sets that were offered last year were cancelled. The Command Sets sold well, but powers to be decided it was more profitable to promote the action figures. When I was recently at Target I saw they had the Star War Black Series. The figures cost between $15.00 to $20.00 each.

This is sad news. Had this series continued, Target would really have been the go to place for plastic figures, with Star Wars Command, the occasional Blip tubes, and the present and upcoming Blue Box tubs. I’ll have to run out and get some more Storm Troopers.
In case any want then , I do have few poses loose for sale ..
Hi Guys,
This new information may not be accurate as the Wave 2 sets are already packaged and one at least is already available. The information I have is that there will be –
6 X New 9 figure blister cards utilising the figures that were previously offered in the playsets, including new character figures including- General Grevious,Yoda, Commander cody. These blister packs will be case packed with the 3 cards for Wave 1.
3 X New 12 figure Blister packs with new character figures. Still using figures from the playsets, one of the new blisters is available now and has been offered by several US dealers and on Ebay it includes – Han Solo and Bobo Fett. One of the new sets will be related to the animated series ‘Wookie Rescue’. The 3 original blisters from Wave 1 will be case packed with the new blisters.
The Disney Store in Glasgow is awaiting a delivery, so they seem to think they are stocking Wave 2.
I haven’t seen any new playsets listed for STAR WARS COMMAND so maybe it is the larger sets that have been cancelled. As the blister cards are more pocket money price banded with compatible prices across the world.
I have noted that staff at TOY FAIR don’t always have a clue what is going on as they are just there to get the interest going. I think it’s a wait and see what happens deal.
Regards,
Les
Les; do you have any links/site where to see those sets please!!??thank you..
Any links!!??
Hi Erwin,
Check these –
Flickr memeber DARTH RAY reports he picked up new blisters titled –
REBEL ALLIANCE
DROID DESTRUCTION
CLONE TROOPER CLASH
at Walmart on November 20 2014 see pic here
https://www.flickr.com/photos/47620315@N04/15839125812
This link shows the 9 figure configuration by set and the make up of a case by blister. They list them as currently ‘out of stock’
http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HSB0839B
If you put-
Star wars command wave 2
into your browser and then look at the image results you will see several pics of the new sets, packaged and open. The 12 fig set ‘Desert Rescue’ seems to have been available as of November 2014 also. It has been offered before Christmas on Ebay UK and was the european package version.
Hope this is helpful.

I am not talking about the previous offerings, I am talking about if the line would be continued in 2016. From the information I am getting plus the fact they did not show anything at the New York Toy Fair indicates the line is dead and there will be nothing new. What is in the pipe line will be it.
Hi Paul,
According to the reports I have read HASBRO were showing very little at the Toy Fair and comments have already been made that many new figures are coming which will connect with the new movie released later .
HASBRO were being very secretive at the London Toy Fair and wouldn’t let just anyone into their display area which was apparently cordoned off with security.
The sets that are being considered as ‘Wave 2’ have not all come out yet, with 3 more 9 figure cards and 2 more 12 figure cards still to arrive.
With your comment, I presume that you are thinking that there should have been a ‘Wave 3′ announced at Toy Fair. The first sets were announced at San Diego Comic Con which takes place in July ,so possibly new stuff will be announced at this years’.
On their other Stae Wars products the ‘Black series’ is a selling line for them ,but they didn’t announce any new stuff for that at Toy Fair, however the ‘people in the know’ say that many products will be coming especially related to the new movie.
If you use the ‘Unleashed’ line as an example it took quite some time for them to release new sets for that before they discontinued it.
Regards,
Les
Thank you Les;I appreciate the links but after look one by one of all sets, included the so call new packs just with new names/title. I do have all those figures/poses and characters from different configuration packs done in 2013 and 2014 as some packs were done in 2013 not distributed till may-July 2014.So all those figures mold are from the 2014 line. Sorry buy I will not considered repacking a new set, that is just repacking;21 century and forces of valor repack same products all over for few years, no new items…Or do I miss any new figure/character that has been announce for 2015 coming!?
Any links to those sets mentioned with “new characters” as you mentioned in first comments!!?.
Amazon, target,Walmart and other website sold all those seen there, the rest new wave are using same old figures and characters to make new titled packs to sale off the line in my opinion.
Hi Erwin,
This must be a case of the sets not being available worldwide at the same time.
From all the sets available here,in the UK, european cards, NO set has had Yoda, General Grevious, Commander Cody, Han Solo (in gold) or Bobo Fett.
Also the US dealer websites I have found have the Wave 2 sets listed as new November 2014 or coming soon January 2015.
The local Disney store is awaiting their first delivery of Wave 2 sets, so clearly there is a difference between the countries. It was not my intention to mislead you.
So what are the character figures in the ‘Wookie Rescue’ set and the ‘Bounty Hunters’ set. Any more poses of Stormtrooper and have they done ‘Princess Leia’ yet ?
If you have any links to images of ALL the sets for ‘Wave 2’ I would be interested to see for myself what I can expect to find at some point.
If things go the way they usually go for HASBRO any new releases for a ‘Wave 3’ should be announced at San Diego Comic Con in July.
I have completed a squad of Stormtroopers through conversions of the 2 poses and 2 Sandtroopers giving me an 8 man squad in 8 poses, I have a half squad, so far , of Sandtroopers in 4 poses and I’m working on a squad of Biker Scouts with bikes. So I’m quite interested to see what new figures are out there to cut up 🙂
Sorry for the confusion and thanks for any help with images of the sets that are available in the USA.
Best Regards,
Les
Les, …thank you.No problem at all,it may had well happen is a distribution/buyers problem as you say.All you mention minus Princess Leia I got them before November 2 ,2014.I carry al lot to sale at NJ show and sold a lot, few remain in my site now.selltoyco.com. Most storm troopers…any who went at show and buy may confirm from me as did put then for $1.00 each character and$2×00 rest. They sold quick
The Princess Leia blister pack was done with her and 5 reb soldier in the two action poses depicted in other previews set,I do not bought it yet as not interested she has right hand holding a gun left down in full dress I guess . Han solo has been sold too in 3 colors here. Blue , gold and light grey. Storm troopers captain has been done in two colors for two sets.Amazon.com is the best to Google and see all sets, you may have to spend some time and will see all those if open one by one of the pictures any ways amazon sets configuration may differ of those at stores too. Three different packing distributors were used for same series. Target used same amazon, any ways target is discontinued the 4 foot section at stores soon ,they are clearance 15-30% off many sets at stores here.
Erwin,
Thanks for the additional info I’ll check amazon for the pics.
Something that you may not have noticed that the ‘Exclusive Poses’ are different moulds from the similar poses done in coloured plastic.
I cut up a Sandtrooper Commander, Grey with black base, and I discovered that he is made up of three self coloured pieces – the body is Grey, the base is seperately glued on at the factory in black ,it fits into slots under the feet, and the gun and strap is a plug-in piece factory glued in black. So when assembled he looks painted. There is a groove cut into the body to plug the gun into. The detail of the figure is sharper and the material is more flexible than the solid colour figs. The same applies to Agent Kallus and the Scout Bike Commander, I expect that the gold figures are the same, but I haven’t cut one up yet 🙂
So Han Solo for example in Gold should be a better sculp than in Blue.
Also just noticed a seller on Ebay UK selling the figures in ‘Blind Bags’, possibly from Spain, one figure per bag. So you don’t know what you are getting until you open it. In a shop of course you could feel it to work out what the pose is :))
Looks like HASBRO is trying to get as much money out of the moulds as possible by offering them in many re-packaged ways.
Regards,
Les
Thanks ,yes I see about different figure/pose on split mold; the storm trooper commands as well most Darth Vader and other are for the mold design series with separated/weapons base assembled after ,they had a one number bellow per pose/design/character. In fact I think those are the original intended figures by Hasbro, then they remold to do the non character and more cheap figures using another factory that cloned same mold, the detail is different so the size in mm.Yes the HAN SOLO-gold was done with black base too and hand gun separated molded as well. I agree
Wonder they did not increase the troopers action poses more!!?You be careful with that knife .LOL!!
I always have a big roll of sticking plasters handy when I’m modelling, although sometimes I wonder where all the red paint comes from :))
LOL,Well you are good at, if was me I will be with out fingers long time ago.
Will love to see how your conversion will go;do you think you can do an imperial bike driver/SEATED!!?
Yes, I have already done the Seated Imperial Speeder driver. Takes more cuts than a foot poses but the plastic is excellent for converting.
Hey Guys,
I have been looking around the web and found this:
http://news.toyark.com/2014/10/08/nycc-2014-star-wars-rebels-mission-series-139932
If you scroll down you will see what appears to be 4 new star wars command sets on display. There is a Jabba the Hutt themed set, a Darth Maul battle set, a wookie set of some sort(looks like from Rebels), and a generic Rebels set. If you look closely, there is even a rancor.
Hi Todd
The problem is that the pictures are from 2014. These figures could be prototypes. So far we have not any indications that they are coming out. They may end up in some other country as other lines did. We will have to wait and see.
I am aware of that but I am hoping that in June/July(when the next big toy restocks happen at a lot of Toys’r’us and Targets) these will start popping up.
I have yet to seen them sold online yet either. It seems that(at least around here) the toy industry is having trouble keeping things stocked. The toy sections are getting pretty picked over in a lot of stores except for staples like Lego(which does its own stocking).
I wasn’t too keen on these figures at first but when I heard the line was cancelled I started buying them cheap on Amazon. I have everything now except for the Star Destroyer and one other large battle set. My local WalMart and Target have been restocking them lately. Lots of the second series carded sets like the Desert Escape, Endor Battle etc. are back on the shelves.
I got the desert escape and Endor set at my local stores in October/November last year. The distributor in Wal-Mart’ goes by district/region. Very bad system as not equal.
Target used a central system with main buyer offices in China, more accurate buy limited quantity per stores.
Yes I had seen those on same site in mid 2014 ,but none appear on any store by the end of last year, neither this one so far in US, so definitely the figures/molds were all done back in 2014 but not fully released . Ironically all last repack packages from this year at retail store have 2014 date release. So my be prototype never fully produced or limited run and not worldwide distributed. I see that some target stores actually clearance the section and only left action figures. Same in TRU. Wal-Mart most part still carry the line in blister pack , not large sets with some gold version characters now in the packs.
Erwin,
Yeah TRU is doing clearance on everything now except for the Millennium Falcon set and blister packs. I was able to pick up the two of the 51
Erwin,
Yeah TRU is doing clearance on everything now except for the Millennium Falcon set and blister packs. I was able to pick up the two of the 51 figure sets and the big 100 piece set for 25 bucks the other day. The Star Destroyer is a lot of fun to drive around.
More info on these would be great. I remember seeing a comment from a Hasbro guy in a 2015 interview to the effect that “The Command Line has not performed to its expectation, the stuff that is still in the channel will be released, but no new items will be created.” Not sure if this means Wave 3 will come out, but it seems there is hope. I am taken by these and am enjoying the low prices on the Market. The Droid Destruction blister seems to be the only one in real demand atm, it is hard to find at retail or clearance price.
What other SW figs match the scale? Unleashed and the board game The Queen’s Gambit (rare and expensive) comes to mind.
Rancor’s Revenge
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271957674666?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Yep,I got it already and at half price from toy’s r us.Target and Wal-Mart in my area so far seems never had it but any how they clearance most off sets already..
For those interested, here are better pics from NYCC 14. Looks like the Rebels set has a new stormtrooper “commander”:
http://www.figures.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=515332&title=hasbro&cat=18252
Hopefully all these sets and the two nine-packs are released soon.
So if you look close at photo in link below you can see they did make Hera even thought she is not in the 2 Rebels sets I picked up. Also Kanan in a different pose with blaster & lightsaber, as well as C-ROC Gozanti-class Cruiser and some green aliens I can’t identify yet. Is this part of the Wookie Rescue set? Has anyone seen it or a set with Hera? So miffed they did not include her in the other sets!!!!
http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2014/10/DSC08153.jpg
This is part of the wave that was supposed to be released in the spring but may have been pushed back to the fall or canceled.
Paul,
I read some more info on the Toyark site that says the missing sets would be out in Spring 2015, so it would seem likely they are delayed, at least here in the UK. The Rancor Revenge set offered on Ebay is the European Version packaging, so the sets might still turn up at some point.
The set with Hera will be titled , ‘Scum & Villiany’, with SW Rebels characters.
The green guys are obviously in the TV show, the bad guy has horns on his head (but don’t know his name) and the Ezra pose is also a new one.
The ‘Wookie Rescue’ set is the one on the top left of the complete table picture from the Toy Fair, it includes SW Rebels characters – New Chewebacca, young Wookie, Wookie throwing ball ? and a new Stormtrooper Commander.
The other set pictured is called ‘Fateful Duel’ from Episode 1 movie with new characters – Darth maul, Obi wan Kenobi, Qui Jin, Amidala, Guard Captian and a Guard ?
It is not surprising really that they forgot to offer Hera, a major character, as they also left out Princess Liea, until the Rancor Revenge set. I don’t think Hasbro really has much of a clue on the smaller scale figures, they didn’t do to well with the 1:30 scale Unleashed Battle Packs either.
Lets hope all the missing ones turn up sometime soon, I’m curious as to what is in the 9 figure packs – ‘Bounty Hunting’ and ‘Endor Rebels’
Regards,
Les

Right now in regards to the Star Wars line we will see a push for the next movie that is coming out this year. I have seen a catalog which shows the items coming out in 12 days and there was nothing Command sets related. whether they will dump the other sets is anyone’s guess.
Admin,
My previous comment was really an answer to Pauls post above.
I have seen the list of new items and agree Star Wars Command sets are not on them as you say.
However Since the Rancor Revenge set turned up in European package and the figures in the old photo show, it would seem that the missing figures were produced, so it is just a matter of time for them to possibly turn up as Wave 3 as an older item and not as new production. Part of the 2015 range perhaps as was planned.
I don’t see them dumping actual production figures, if that’s what you mean, as there is still money to be made out of them. If you mean cancelling the series then I would agree that this is most likely.
The new DVD release of the first season of the Star Wars Rebels animated series comes out in a couple of weeks so this should add some interest to the line.
Pretty anorexic looking figures.
A long time ago in a galaxy far,far away….the food was scares too;so they fought for it too!!.
Many of war are related to food-supply issues…so I bet it was too.
LOL!!
sorry; scarce, I mean
Thanks Les! Here’s hoping that they did produce those sets and so will release them!!!
BTW, the silver enemy with the horns in the Scum & Villiany set is called Cikatro Vizago. The green figures are bodygard droids called IG-RM. And yes, I can now see
that Ezra is in a new pose with his foot on his helmet.
As for the Wookie Rescue set, the ship is an Auzituck Wookie anti-slaver ship. I can make out 2 emaciated slave wookies throwing rocks, a golden wookie, Zeb and Ezra.
I don’t see a young Wookie in the set. Spark of Rebellion episode has a father {Wullffwarro} and son {Kitwarr} wookie. Chewie is not mentioned. The Silver commander has his foot on a rock and that is the new pose you mentioned. This set and the Fateful Duel set both have 5 Good guys, 5 bad and 2 vehicles.
Something interesting I did notice on the the Epic Assault Rancor Revenge set box art on the UK Ebay. The pose for Chewie does not match the figure. The pose has him
holding out his gun with right arm, but the figure from NYCC looks the same as the one from Desert Escape using both hands.
Also, hot (boiling) water and cold water works well to straighten out these figures. Inquistors double-bladed lightsabers were bent on the end due to packaging. Slip
them in a small straw like coffee stir straw and dip in hot then cold water and then you have straight blades. Need a container with flat edges & cold water for Tie fighter wings. Going to try to reposition some of the AT-SD walkers turrents and guns to give them different poses…
Paul,
Check out this post by Stad with pictures from the new one Rancor’s revenge set.
http://www.stadsstuff.com/?p=4711
No new Star Wars Command releases for Force Friday, but Hasbro did release a pretty nice chess set. The set contains 32 figures( all the new & some old characters ). Most poses are totally new, but a couple appear to be from the Star Wars Command molds.

Thanks for the update
I dropped by Tuesday Morning, which is sort of a high-end Big Lots, and it had some of the new sets. Rancor’s Revenge was $13. I picked up Desert Escape for $7 because it had Boba Fett, along with Han Solo, Chewbacca, CP3O, AR2D2, a generic Jedi, four desert Stormtroopers, the landspeeder and a Tie Fighter.
Thanks for the Tuesday Morning tip. I visited a couple of their locations & both had plenty of the Rancor’s Revenge sets.
Curious, I stopped at my nearest Big Lots. They had the 16 piece sets Death Star Strike and Episode III Final Battle for $10.
Big lot like to get spoils of wars for resale. Not first time. They did with Dragon can do and some Century 21 after despairing off main other retailers.
Here is another set I saw before ,figures I had in my hand and are compatible with the command sets 1:35 scale.
http://www.amazon.com/Featuring-Troopers-Soldiers-Decorative-Accessories/dp/B011M9COO2/ref=sr_1_17?srs=2530515011&ie=UTF8&qid=1441427870&sr=8-17
I love Command and am looking for models in the same scale. Can anyone make comparisons with the plastic figures from the various SW chess sets over the plast 15 years?
Cheers!
A J. Ok send me a link of what chess set pieces u need compare.
4 Japanese company did plastic, not cast chess excellent action poses star wars figures, because base(easy could be cut off of course) some are as 3″ high, others run in the 50 mm scale. I can locate friends in my blogs and have them do compere picture if you provide specific SW chess set figures .
Furuta did star wars 8 storm troopers in painted version but exact 52/54 mm .I have two poses and will dig once found to post pictures of it with Hasbro. Made in 2003/4 base in second series of film not first
finding Furuta=FT, SW now are a very hard mission, Japanese considered them now collectible as Furuta-FT generally release 100 000 sets max per production of two year run only. In character they run much less so much harder.
