Get well soon, Mike, and best wishes to someone who spent a considerable amount of time working to ensure that children from low income households could have a nice Christmas each year.

  2. erwin says:

Hope good and fast recovery, sorry to hear it.

  3. Wayne W says:

This is sad news indeed. Best wishes on a speedy recovery. A truly good guy.

I went and visited him in the hospital on Saturday, other than the fact his abdomen was distended and his legs were swollen he looked okay. He was in good spirits and even asked me to bring my latest conversions for him to see, I even left one to keep him company. He is scheduled for a procedure either today or tomorrow or maybe both and with any luck will be out of the hospital by Wednesday at the lastest. I would say the prognosis for a complete recovery are very good, in hobby standards a c8 or c9. ( that’s a joke regarding the condition of play set boxes)

  5. Don Perkins says:

I’m glad to hear of the good prognosis. I’m glad that you left one of your conversions to keep him company. Please tell Mike we’re all hoping to see him in Indiana in April — that the show wouldn’t be the same without him. A c8 or c9 box has a little wear and tear around the edges, but is still a good serviceable box with a lot of life left in it and years of service still to come.

  6. ed borris says:

He plans on attending the Indy show. I’m sure he won’t have any restrictions as far as that goes. Toy Soldier shows aren’t that taxing.

  7. Wayne W says:

Great news. Can’t keep a good man down.

  8. ed borris says:

Latest Mike news, they put off the procedure for today and are now figuring if all proceeds well they’ll do it on Wednesday and he’ll be home by Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well.

  9. ed borris says:

Okay, Mike should be having his procedure today at 1:00PM central time, or about one hour from now, should be released to go home tomorrow.

  10. ERWIN says:

Great, hope the best and fast!!!

  11. Greg Liska says:

Waiting anxiously for news. Once again – my sincerest wishes for complete and rapid return to good health.
