Looking through the collection, I found the Timmee pioneer on the right. It is a down size copy of the pioneer clubbing. First reaction is that the figure is from Timmee of Germany. That can be easily dismissed as the Timmee of Germany figures were the same size as their American counterparts and had bases. The only figures that Timmee of Germany did downsize are the knights.
The figure has a peg under its left foot which leads me to believe it might be from the Texas company which is from Italy. I have gotten other figures from this company with a peg to plug into a base.
We will have to wait for a response from our European collectors to who made it.
Hi
The figure is made in Monaco. They made a series of figures, all copies, mainly British figures. Single peg on a raised base. Similar to TEXAS
Thank you Peter.
Interesting; I did not know Monaco small country did toy soldiers in plastic!!?.Wonder what else they did and why they copied tim mee?
This figure is indeed by Italian company (ITALY) or ITALI. from early 1970’s.They copied most American and few Dulcop ,COMA sets poses.
Among poses and figures from US copied were Tim Mee cowboys ,Indian ,pioneers , LIDO GI’s and LIDO Germans ,Marx marines 54 mm,MARX 6″ down scaled to 60/54 mm approx. .Most sold in long window cases .
The companies that copied most British such Herald and Britain and some TIMPO swooped but in solid style were CRO,PAUL PLASTIK and TEXAS.
Most sold in blister card type.
According to history of Italian plastic toy soldiers books CRO and Paul PLASTIK got hand in the ITALY mold and or enter corps business distributed with then in late 70′.
Wile TEXAS remain separated from above three others as firm competitors.
