Greg Liska send us a series of photos on vehicles he did. The first vehicle is Italian Semovente 75/18. The second one is Soviet SU-76. Greg got this done by having resin bodies made that he could fit over Hong Kong chassis of a German vehicle. The results that came out were nice. What do you think?

That is a hell of a job!!. See, if you want to match CTS armor with same scale you can do it if have the same ingenuity!! The su76 and Italian semovente are very well done (note the Riveted armor detail (WOW!!).I do own few Hong Kong bottom chassis, never come to an idea to do such a god/job. No accurate 100% :So what, they easy go well as what they represent for; (by the way) great figures choices (that soviet officer on horse)!!Look nice..
Congrats!!Greg
In fact for those who had any doubt about how many rare variants (in good quantities )were done of the (SU76) see bellow the link that show Russian used over 10 different types of chassis to mount these self-propelled cannon and tank killers from late 1942-1944).Many match very good with those done by Greg

Excellent job Greg ! I see the MPC Germans in tan (nice ) who made the Italians and Russians? I see an Airfix Russian officer I believe ?
One interesting fact is that the MPC Germans were done with what look more an tropical/Africa uniform type as their uniform in many poses have low boots with open shirt collars(much better suitable for this scene).
I do recognize all figures and have then too from both battlefield scenes but two poses intrigue me! Who made the two officers( Italian!?) poses talking/facing the two MPC “officer and radioman” Germans!?
Hi Erwin
I do not recognize them either. Perhaps Greg can enlighten us.
Looks like GREG is busy doing other new creations!!We will wait then
Sorry. Had a ‘war buddy’ over. We’d not seen each other since our tour in Afghanistan and it’s been an eventful weekend.
First – the vehicles are cast in plastic, not resin. I did the proto-type and sent it in to a friend who makes a lot of anime dolls and accessories. They were cast in a primer grey and I painted them.
Second – The Italian officers were from some sort of police set done in hard, dark green plastic. The other figures had gas masks on and were armed with SMGs. Similar to the Airfix SAS guys. I had posted pics of them around, but nobody knew anything about them for certain. The one pointing has what most certainly looks like an Italian tanker helmet (used for motorcycles, too. Probably what he was supposed to be) and the other obviously passes well for an Italian officer.
Third – the Soviets are mostly Esci (dark green) but there are HK copy Airfix in a nice khaki-green, an Airfix ‘Modern Soviet’ officer and some Russians made in Russia that were around in the 1990’s.
Greg
Glad for the update and corrections on your vehicles. It is interesting some times where you can flesh out your troops. I remember the Russian figure you used from Russian, they were great figures and it is a shame they did only two sets. WWII Russians and Modern Russian police. The sculptor was big fan of Airfix.
It always great to see an old friend. I had a friend in Allentown for Illustrator Con this weekend. We got to talk about old times and help him and his friend get to the show. They got me into the show, where I got to see many great science fiction and fantasy pieces of artwork. I also got to observe how things are going in this field of collecting.
A lot of FUN! Nice mix of sets and scales.
HIGHLIGHTS
* MPC Germans in Tan
* Airfix Officer on horse!
* Out of production, Russian made, Soviet set
* Italian & German Mystery Officers??
* GREAT SU-76 !!
Are the tanks in a true 1:32?
Would you sell them?
High praise indeed, Christian! Thank you. The Vehicles are really in scale with CTS. I should add, since several have pointed it out, the AF Soviet officer on horse is just a minor kit-bash job. I cut the base off of him and hollowed the crotch area out a little. The horse tack is nothing but rubber bands. I’ve since learned how to do it better with the type of rubber bands orthodontists use. They fit better.
I had entertained the idea of selling them, but the project got pretty poor reviews when I showed them around, mostly about scale. So, I just did them for me. A total of 19 German SPGs, 6 Italian and 12 Soviet, most of which I kept. I’ve since decaled the German ones and they look so much better!
