Engineer Bassevitch has released another set of figures. The figures are based on a popular Russian children’s short story called the “Secret Message” by Arkady Gaydar. “Military Secret” is about Malchish Kibalchish a young boy, who takes command of the Soviet army during an invasion by the evil forces. Malchish is betrayed and is captured. He will not give up a military secret and goes to his death.
The set contains eight figures five enemy represent as adults with top hats and three heroes represented as children. This set will be popular with collectors in Russia especially those who enjoyed the story. Outside of Russia, this set will be less popular as most people are not aware of this story.
Here are some photos of this set that Denitz has posted on various sites. He has a web site where you can buy the figures. I have listed his web site below.

Unfortunately this link leads to nothing?
I was afraid of that I will get the pictures later today.
Well if you don’t get too picky about it you could use the Top Hats for the first London Bobbies and the kids would be good for a Warsaw Ghetto/Uprising just shave the sword down a bit but I don’t think there is going to be any big rush to get this set imported.
I can use then for the nutcrackers ballet/tale scene. Interesting/rare!!
The kids could also be used for Soviet Partisans.
Well I think it would be more ironic to use Made in Russia figures as Warsaw Uprising figures to remember how the Russians sat back and watched it.
The top hat guys look like the Purple People Eaters from Yellow Submarine!
Or we’re they the ones who dropped apples on the folks of Pepperland.
Yes, they were the ‘Apple Bonkers’!
Ha Ha, I actually like the cigar one the best, reminds me of W.C. Fields, climb up on my knee little chickadee. Lol.
Might be able to make some American War of 1812 (or other years) militia,or maybe British troops fighting Napoleon in Egypt or early War between the states militias to name a few ?
You could cut the hats down some and make them more functional.
Because the tale base is from before 1940,in fact wrote in 1935 and the kids represent typical uniform and weapons wore 1917-1930 “revolution”/ and soviet occupation of ex Russian empire/else nations- era. I could use the three kids for soviet/bolshevize cadets!!
The other guys with some adaptation may be good for circus figures!?; one could be used as the writer /civilian character in the Russian novel (war and Pease).Others for British navy (1805-1825) maybe!!??One detail is clear those adult figures eat good!!
