Can any one send me a photo of the four WWII Germans poses that TSSD did in 2012?  I can not remember the poses and if they were done in resin or plastic.

  1. I was really anticipating the unavailing of this ADD-ON set.
Now that I have seen it, this is what I feel.

    RUNNING w. MP-40 = Needed/Useful
RUNNING w. Rifle = (as above) Redundant
    KNEELING w. Binoculars & STG 44 = Cool & Useful
KNEELING Holding Grenade & Rifle (doing nothing) ??????????
The last one is quite uninspired, anything would have better than that one.
But, I’m glad to have more WWII so, I’ll take 3 sets Please!!!!!
    What do you guys think?

Not bad. Could have been better. I’ll buy a set. Would have liked to have seen a “Cross of Iron” inspired set or a Winter smock like The 1/35 Can-Do from Dragon. I’ll also have to look them over in person. There is a tendency in the TSSD sculpting to go for the thick/stocky look in their figures but sometimes the heads of the figures can look a little oversized and I wish they would tone that down. They however still crank out the figures and I’m thankful for that.

      Tom
I agree I will have to wait and see the figures up close before I will decide to buy them or not. I will see them Hackensack along with the other new items coming out.

  3. NO WAY!
If its 1:32 WWII, (Large , Med, or Small) I BUY!!!
Only if the sculpting is a disaster do I pass.
Like the BMC D-DAY Play Set figures.
The only saving grace were the Higgins Boats and accessories.

Agree those BMC Germans were the most deformed-ugly figures ever sculpted in plastic recently, even cheap bad copies of down size Germans airfix and matcbox made in china are better. Still few poses (ideas) were nice…I keep few and cut add new heads /else in effort to save some. Later BMC japs and marines were better..

  5. Agreed, how could anyone fortunate enough to have the rare opportunity to create and launch a “PLAY SET” ever give the green light to those little pieces of shit?!
Under my direction, using a talented sculptor and the same cheep materials and pose numbers, I could have created a classic and loved Play-set!
The BRITISH would all have late war Mk III helmets for starters.
I’m DREAMING again. Whats the point?

From what I read BMC got permission from K&C to do some of their vehicles and figures for BMC’s Iwo Jima playset? I’d like to see more of this, the Amtrak and Sherman are very nice and easy on the wallet! K&C have done French, Italian and British Tanks and vehicles that would be great if done in plastic like BMC’s Amtrak and Sherman. I know K&C did the D-Day Sherman painted but it was pricey.

Agree they should get more armor done, but once again the cost and profit issues come out first. Too much money involves and long times before recover it. Is not a very easy and fast recover profit business, some even go down as never recover, most struggles and barely make it..And all to make the few of us happy!!.BMC playset were sold at toy’r us for that reason, to get more profit; 21 century armor did same. The big change store company claims many playset/items were total loss and ended getting money returned for it with BMC paying back for thousand on lost. That is how all ended out of big market.BMC and 21 century got s.. by BIG Company like Wal Mart and TRU

  8. If ONLY “CTS” would see the light and up-scale their vehicles from 1/40 to 1/32!
It would be a buying, feeding frenzy all over again!
    WAIT! I’m DREAMING AGAIN!

May be some day dreams could be come true!!!Let’s hail to THOR for it!!
