We have been given some interesting news about the Hing Fat Army figures. The company that makes the figures .Because of the material use to make the mold, it has a very limited life span so production may had ended. These figures were only done in 2012 to 2013. These figures will not be run again unless brand new molds are made.
Update
As I was going to print the above information, I received the following additional information.
DGN,CH print ON TUBE BARCODE and in base of some figures as well ;it may stand for “DOUNGHAN -GUANGDONG NIUNGHT”, CHINA. !? or else maybe .The real company name of these figures is not (Hing Fat) as not clear name of such company is listed in any 2013-2014 tubes packing .
DGN can not be distributor as the US packing least have a distributor listed in packs as” d&d distributing Wholesale inc listed” .Material used is ABS-CODE 23-(hard cold plastic material),probably using recycling material as well ,using low quality mold material that require less time/heat. Material is very similar to the one used on early LIDO hard PLASTIC figures that will crystal off and break under constant heat/sun exposure and with years of use as well…
Are you talking about the WWII 1:32 figures?
Yes Mr. Aldo, about the figures in the tube that bring ww2 figures from US,GERMAN,RUSSIA,ITALIAN,FRENCH and so on…they won’t last too much I guess!!And in fact the Russian are very good figures. I will sent a post/ comment with pictures soon so collectors could see how detail compare to many others they are. Other sets are very bad and no good in poses. Best regards..Erwin
This news comes to me in the form of an impending crises.
This will be yet another urgent strain upon my obsessive toy soldier budget (between loose women & wine) and my great obsession! !@#$%^&*(!@#$%^&*()@#$%^&*!!
But WWII toy soldiers are a serious priority and I must admit that I took the Chinese made figures for granted. NOW I MUST procure them before all is lost!!!!
May the Gods of Plastic guide me.
Seriously Pissed Off!!!!!!!!!!!
QUESTION: Do the tubes being sold by Toy Soldier Depot contain the original more detailed figures, or are they the less-detailed, reduced size remolds that Admin refers to above?
Don: If they are direct from DGN, CH which I’m positive are:Yes ;but in order to have the full set of poses you (may) need to buy two of same sets as some tubes(even they bring 17-18 figures according to description) SOMETIMES!!, do not have all poses..Some buyers had mentioned it before. Still the fact that other minor/less quality mold was produced by other company has created the wrong miss conception that some sets (sample Germans) come with 14-16 poses, which is not quite true. They are talking after buying from two different sets/company brand and molds..DGN figures are from 50 mm to 56 mm scale and all figures in one country army had the same color chade.Bases are rectangular shape with inside below edge all around the base. (That distinguishes the DGN original and best mold from rest.).The other figures that some poses were copied from the above company and other not were made by a company call (BILLI –V)) and sold in bags and big buckets with names that said (ATTACK FORCE) from B-V and BATTLEFIELD 69-101 PIECES from HING FAT. These figures are much less quality and smaller (42-52 mm max). Still you can mix few poses from other less quality mold to increase the collection, but definitely not the right mold/brand that we are looking at. I will post more pictures to show difference in some days with ADMIN permit if possible. Thank you..Best regards..Erwin
I just ordered a tube each of the Russians, Italians, French, and Japanese from Toy Soldiers Depot, who now has them all in stock, but only a few tubes left of some of them. I don’t see anyone but Toy Soldiers Depot carrying these, so if you want them, you might want to act now, before they run out again.
Don,could you tell me your count on diff poses from each set when you can please!!??
b regards,Erwin
Yes, I will post the number of different poses in each tube as soon as they arrive.
Erwin, I received my WWII “not Hing Fat” figures today. Here’s the breakdown of poses I received in each tube:
French WWII — 8 different poses
Japs WWII — 9 different poses
Italian WWII — 10 different poses
Russian WWII — 10 different poses
I liked the vibrant plastic colors — especially the French Blue and the Italian Emerald Green. I thought the plastic was good quality — not brittle and didn’t feel like cheap plastic at all. All in all, I thought they were nice figures, quite suitable for mixing in with Marx or Airfix scenes to add a little variation.
Wow, that’s a lot of poses. How many total figures in each tube?
Each tube contained a total of 15 figures, plus a dorky, little plastic flag and base.
Don:
Sorry I forgot to answer this;yes you are missing poses on all.
Japanese are 14 poses,French are 12 poses,so are the Italians and the Russians, German are 15-16* poses. The Americans and the British are 12 poses each too. I will get small amount of sets in soon.Don’t know how many full poses/set I will be able to make out of them. Will post.Best
