How many times have you found a knight figure and wondered who made it? Case in point the swoppet style knight in the above photo. There is a great site for information on knights not only plastic, but also metal and composition. It is Chevaliers o de L en France (Chevaliers in France). It is run by Pierre-Joseph Neven. Pierre has done a fantastic job of listing figures from around the world besides France. Using his site, I found out the maker was Cyrnos of France. So if you are into knights go to this site. It is in French, you can use a translator for your home language

This past Sunday I went to a flea market in New Jersey. As I went through the endless tables of costume jewelry, I came upon one table with soldiers. The Marx plastic was very common. The dealer has a small group of resin figures which I picked.

With the figures was a small plastic plaque with the word Mini Forma, Checking the internet I discovered that the figures had been made in Germany. Talking to my friend Markus Leckshied he gave me the following information. “Sad story behind the owner Fredi Martin Schulz. Got infected by working with the resin plastic for his figures and passing away because he had no proper health insurance. Can barely recall him after his tables at Bad Nauheim shows in the 90s. Think nobody knows how many different figures ever had been made. The resin is fragile and a pain to glue. I think he shifted part of the production to Poland. Weird little company gone with the owner.”

Markus was surprised that I picked them up in the United States. I wondering now if these figures I picked up last October are from the same company.
