Happy New Year 2025 Plastic Figure Showcase, I wish everyone a Happy New Year. For me the day was quiet. I did my family’s tradition of pork and sauerkraut. Tomorrow, I will be back doing packages for Ebay. So let us enjoy some items from my collection or on Ebay.
Happy New Year 2025 Photo Time
One of my last purchases for the collection was this caveman made in China. I am told there are three different figures.
This was one of the figures I bought at the French show. It was done by Cofalu. One of the problems I have as a dealer and as a collector to what I will keep. I have seen dealers keep most of the items they bought. I am very tough on myself and placed this figure out for sale which it did.
A friend gave me these figures. The one on the left is American Maid from the Tick. I plan to use her as a waitress in a town I hope to do. The middle figure is from Gargoyles she will also be part of the town. The third figure is from Star Wars.
One of my niches for selling is Marx trees. At the end of the year, I had a run on scraggly trees. I have only seen them in hard plastic. Have you seen them in soft plastic?
I showed the figure on the right before with some Timmee farm figures from Germany. The company that did the Timmee figures in Germany made some variations. One figure they did was to take an Air Force figure dragging a bomb and change him to have the figure with a shovel. I like the change they made.
One of the unusual items I picked up last year was this Flintstone item. I got them at a flea market in Belgium. Doing some research they are listed as cigar bands.
Definitely TM sets in Germany were made using other molds .Intersting the change in pose with shovel .It has far more uses than with bomb .
I have the cavemem ,sold by TM ,3 poses plus prehistoric animal and eggs in round base too .
Happy New Year to you Stad and hope your health greatly improves this year.
The SOFT Plastic scraggly trees were only made in 1959 for the Giant 4888 Wagon Train Playset. Very hard to find. In fact, if anyone out there has an extra one or two, I would be interested in buying them!
Interesting that the more common Marx “A” tree has been re-issued, but the scraggly tree and the cottonwood tree have not. I would be great if the molds were located and all 3 tree designs could be re-issued together as a set.
It would be great!
