Happy Thanksgiving 2025 Odds and Ends, I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. My Thanksgiving was nice and quiet. Sadly, I remember some not being that way. One Thanksgiving Laurie and her mother argued on how to cook dinner. To solved that problem I started to take them out for Thanksgiving..
This year I decided to take two friends less fortunate out with me. One friend was not feeling well and could not go. (We got a takeout for him.) On Thanksgiving, I go to East Penn Diner as they have special meals plus their regular menu. I had beef brisket while my friend had a turkey dinner. The meal came with soup, a salad bar, and a vegetable. I relaxed a bit as I have my big toy show in York PA on Sunday.
Happy Thanksgiving 2024 Odd Photos
From a source, I got this couple in a tub. It is resin and it would be just right for a western town.

Going to shows in Europe I get a chance to see figures that did not get into the United States or poor distribution. The above musketeer figure was done by RF of France
Another figure series that got poor distribution in the United States was the Starlux Mexicans. I got some from a friend from Pittsburgh almost 20 years ago. At the French show, I was able to get several different types that I have up on Ebay.

At both the French Show and the Belgium Show I did a week later you could get figures from other countries. The figure above is Jescan western figure of Little Joe from Bonzanza.

One of the many surprises was to find that Starlux had done a different set of pirates. These pirates must have been done in 50’s or 60’s. Why they were not reissued is a mystery. I know that Starlux reissued their Michel pirates which was their cheap line that was exported to the United States in the 50’s.
Happy Thanksgiving 2025 Odd 3D Project

At a local toy show, Josh Petrie gave a damaged Marx Gallant Man figure (center). I was going to throw it in the junk box when I had an idea. I met Ryan at the same show who does 3D pieces. I talked to Ryan and he said he could a hand with a pistol. As you can see he did. The only negative is the barrel of the 45 is too long, which you can cut down.
Next year I will do some different figures first so stay tune.
The two in the tub are made by Verlinden from their Vietnam War series. I converted mine into Vikings, but the girl is meant to be Vietnamese.
Thanks for the identification.
The girls I met in Vietnam were not built like that !!
SO, I painted her as a redhead!
Happy Thanksgiving to you Paul and all around …wish you great health ,strength and wisdom .Thank you for been with us always .
Little Joe was a Southpaw!!
Hey Brian! Funny that was the first thing that I thought of when I saw this figure of Little Joe! Guess we just have to use our imaginations….

Paul I really like the couple in the tub is this 60mm or?some great old pics and capt Gallant looks great withe resin hand and gun and yes probably cut down tip the a little
I like the couple in the bath tub .
Very unique .
The couple are 54mm.
Joe Cartwright might be ‘corrected’ by use of a 3D scan – the image then mirrored or reversed by computer magic and then printed as a left handed Joe.
Nice ! Especially like the Musketeer and little Joe, the Pirate is a nice sculpt ,would look real good with more realistic paint job .
Love the Musketeer and the Starlux bandito figures. That’s what I like about this site…I get to see figures I am unaware of…and that I would have loved to have had as a kid in Texas in the 1960’s. And experts like Paul and Erwin- – who can comment on them.
Merry Christmas to all collectors and their families!
Just for fun… Still working on my latest Diorama… Here are some pics…

Gary, beautiful work – as usual. Reminds me of the taking and sack of Fredericksburg. Always enjoy your eye candy.
