Eurofigurines Show Part Two: Lots of Figures. I am continuing my trip by looking at the show and some of the figures I acquired for collection and resale.
Eurofigurines Show Part Two Show Time
Early the next morning after breakfast Charlie and I went to show. The show was a short walk to the show. We set up at a table some figures to sell and I started looking for items.
I was amazed at the plethora of figures to pick from. While I prepared to see Starlux I was surprised by the amount of Timpo at the show. Also, there were figures from Spain and Italy.
One of the dealers was Frank Rosbach and his daughter I got from him some Timpo Vikings and Helm Knights.
One of the many tables with figures you had to go through them carefully and come back again.
Figure Showcase
I am showing various figures that I found at the show. The Mexican is Cyrnos. I have no idea about the figure on the right.
The figure is related to the French Revolution. The figure on the right is from Cafe Martin that did a series of Boy Scouts.
A Spanish knight, it was the first figure I bought.
One set of figures I went after was the Starlux Mexicans. Starlux did a wide variety of poses that will fit in well with your other 54mm figures. I will show more of these figures in upcoming posts.
As I mentioned earlier there was a considerable quantity of Timpo which I was surprised to see. they had some interesting color combinations including all white which I had only seen on the internet.
Another item I purchased was Starlux dinosaurs. They did a vast array of dinosaurs which used to get for Laurie. I will have more photos in my next post.
The Knight has a “Lido” look to him.Is it one figure or can you take him off the horse?
The knights are actually 4 poses mounted and 4 standing ,indeed base in LIDO but with variations of poses ,weapons and armor detail making them far more interesting. Made in late 50s .While sometimes “attributed” to Reamsa as the first making them and later sold as ((kiosko) =Street vendors toys cheap line unpainted in the 1960s .The painted version are extremely hard to find .Horse and rider molded in one piece .I have the mounted poses .The unpainted version are attributed to Raigon , Cradeco or other minor Spaniard makers .Nice finding and rare lucky figures hunt .Glad you goth them Paul .
Great Looking Turkish Soldier figure ! Never seen Him before !
The unknown soldier is a Turk from the twelve figure Engineer Basevich Ottoman Army set from the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878. It was originally unpainted, but someone decided to give it a paint job along the way.
Thanks for the information Hector
