The Rumour Is True Stad Was in Europe, just back from a fun trip. This time I did the Eurofigurines show in Paris and several flea markets in Brussels, Belgium. In the coming posts, I will share my experience of this amazing trip. Before I start I like to thank my driver Charlie Barnett for his companionship. Also, my friend Michael Mordaunt Smith was in for part of the Brussels experience.
The Rumour Is True Eurofigurines Show
The Eurofigurines Show is held twice a year in a suburb of Paris, France. I flew to London to meet my driver for the period Charlie Barnett. I used him before for the Plastic Warrior Show. We left London and used the ferry at Dover for our trip to Paris. I was glad I had Charlie as he knew the area where the show was as his daughter had gone to school there. We stayed at a hotel that was right next to the show. That night we ate with my friend Markus Leckshied.
Figure Finds
The figure on the left is Sandokan, a Kinder figure. The figure on the right is by Accedo; the figure is a goat herder.
The figure on the left is a LOD space figure. I might have him already but I am not sure. I liked the farmer with a chainsaw. He is made in China.
One set of figures I was buying was the Starlux Mexicans. One of the stands had some Mexican and mounted Sheriff. I was going to pass on it until the deal pointed out that the sheriff was leading a Mexican prisoner.
Here is a side view of the two-figure set. Once the dealer explained it to me I added the group to my collection.
These two figures I picked up in Belgium. I was walking around the Belgium show when I spotted two red plastic figures. I let out a silent curse as I realize they were the Timpo Cossacks. I hate the Timpo Cossacks as they are so fragile. I looked at them again and noticed the arm position was wrong on the figure with the sword back. I let out another silent curse as I realized they were the Lafredo copies of Timpo Cossacks. They are now part of the collection.
I will have more for you in the next post and share a great site for knights.
The figure on the left I believe is Sandoval. I have no idea about the figure on the right.
The figurine on the right is Acédo, French brand, the goat keeper
Sandokan, to be specific; Kinder surprise figure. Great figure!
Looking forward to reading about Your Trip Paul ! Thanks !
