Expeditionary Force Update Egyptians U.S. Marines, Scott said there will be no new offerings in September due to his health issues. He did share photos of his future releases of Egyptians and U.S. Marines.
Expeditionary Force Update Egyptians Preview
This is just a short note to inform you there will not be any new release in the month of September 2024. My medical condition has caused some inadvertent delay in the product development process during August-September.
I hope things will improve over the coming months.
The next new release: 60 EGP 04 Egyptian Foot Command; is in toolings and is expected to be available for shipping towards the end of October 2024.
There will be officers, standard bearers, drummers, trumpeters, etc. to round out the ranks for the unarmored infantry (EGP 01) already released.

We will release the chariots following this.
Hope that you will find something of interest.
Cheers,
Scott
Preview U.S. Marines
The 54mm Pacific War US Marines are almost completed and will be released in due course.
Marine Kneeling firing a Bazooka. do you prefer kneeling firing a bazooka or standing firing a bazooka?
Marine with a walkie talkie and a submachine gun
Marine kneeling firing a sniper rifle.
Marine with a flamethrower. The flamethrower was important in the Pacific campaign to flush out the Japanese from their forttfications.
Conte Future Figures
Richard Conte of Conte Collectibles is showing masters of future figures he is working on here are his thoughts on this figure. We are also trying to finalize our selection for Legate or General to command our Legions when they seek justice for the defeat of Varus…..Current thinking is that this fellow will make a good cross between Germanicus & Maximus
This is one of my favorites. He shall receive an alternate shield so he can be Germanic or Viking depending upon your needs. This is one of the most detailed animal skin designs we’ve attempted…in answer to questions expect these in plastic and painted metal. I am giving serious consideration to at last doing a couple of new play sets….current thinking is a forest battle along the lines of Teutoburgerwald…and then an Empire Strikes Back set with Germanicus avenging the Varian disaster
If collector support is ‘there’, I am also developing several Viking /Saxon/Norman play set concepts
I will have more on these figures in a future posting.
The U.S. Marines look nice. Hopefully they will be in scale with the WW2 figures made by TSSD, Conte, BMC Toys, and others. Glad to see Conte still making figures. I would love to see him come back to WW2 with some U.S. marines and Japanese, and some Late war/winter G.I.’s and Germans.
Ditto, also would like Prone and Standing Marine Sniper.
“Wishing you a full and speedy recovery Scott.
I love Conte .EXF are nice but those super defined muscles warriors are far too perfect to be realistically correct .
They keep making the figures like in super steroid
Overall nice well done figures .
Glad they are keeping up .
The Egyptians look great. Looking forward to the chariots. The Marines look good. My only issue looking at the photo’s the M1 Helmet looks off. It’s maybe too straight around at the bottom without the slight curve from front to back that the M1 has. These look similar to the Adrien or Japanese helmet with its straightness.
Everything Conte puts out is great! Someone mentioned winter WW2 but I would rather see winter Korean War done by Conte. The other attempt at it in plastic was very underwhelming in scale and sculpting by another maker.
The Marines look nice; I agree the rim of the steel pots are a bit too straight for the M1. It looks worse on the bazooka man. My own preference in firing any anti-tank weapons (including the modern LAW) is to do so from a kneeling position for stability and accuracy. It is possible to fire one from a standing position, but there is a kick that can throw your aim off.
As usual Conte looks to produce some masterpieces. Gotta haves. If he does US troops in Winter uniforms, they’ll be usable for both WW2 and Korea, IMHO.
I’m excited about the news he’s considering getting back into ACW, too!
In my opinion with most bazooka poses been made in kneeling classic poses i rather like see standing pose new made ,however such pose was not recommended in training as the bazooka is a close range AT weapon and supposedly set to be fire from a concealed position to maximize surprise and help cover the crews not been killed before or immediately after firing it .However in hills terrains and in pacific I have seen war footage with soldiers or and marines firing it from standing position many times .
This footage shows it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHfy1PJqPxY
or in many photos making training and in real action

That’s how we trained – and why we trained that way.
First, I hope Scott’s health improves. I ordered some figures from him earlier in the year and he was in the hospital at that time.
I love the Egyptian figures, but again, for an ardent 54/56 MM collector, it’s a missed opportunity not to have those in that scale. I know this has been brought up in the past.
For some reason, most toy soldier toy soldier manufacturers (other than Conte and Marx), avoid releasing ancients in 54. I don’t understand the logic when other eras are well represented in that scale.
While on that note, I’d love to see late empire Romans (I hope Richard is reading this) and their adversaries being released AGAIN, in 54mm. This period has so many fascinating battles especially Roman vrs Roman.
I don’t mean to come off as too critical. I really want the hobby to succeed and support those current manufacturers who have taken up the mantle to produce these figures. But you have to make figures that most of us will support particularly in eras that are way too under represented.
I’m glad Conte is going to release the Roman generalships. He sets the standard in my humble opinion.
