MFCA Show 2024 Great Displays, the MFCA show is the oldest toy soldier show. I have been attending this show since the late 70’s. It is a show with two parts. The first part is fantastic displays ranging from a single figure to dioramas.
MFCA Show 2024 Great Displays Fantastic
The MFCA show is unique as it is held on Friday and Saturday. I go down on a Friday as it is less crowded. The main reason to go is to see the various displays. Reports have over 780 pieces in various categories.
The work that these people do is short of extraordinary.
Here is a display of knights protecting a supply wagon.
The paint work on the figures is amazing.
One category deals with armored vehicles. Here is a group of armored cars.
Some of the tanks that were on display.
Also, planes were on exhibit You can see more exhibits at TreeFrog Click Here
Steve Pyle
Our fellow plastic collector Steve Pyle continued his ways. I love the title Knock Knock. Steve has designed his displays to be rotated so you see everything.
Another of Steve’s displays is Romans battling Celts.
Steve showed some figures he used to make his figures for his displays.
Steve did a phalanx. Steve said he got two best-of-show awards for best display and best conversions. Also a gold medal for the entire display.
MFCA Show 2024 Great Displays Dealer’s Area
The dealer’s area has seen better days. Many of the dealers I would see at the show were not there. Still attending the show was worthwhile. My friend Mike Prendergast from Warhorse Miniatures had his display and was doing well with his 3D figures.
Aaron Elson was selling various books that contained oral histories of military veterans.
Matt Murphy of Excalibur Hobbies had items from a late collector. As you can see there were Jescan boxes and Transogram boxes.
Mat also had loose foreign figures.
Some great pictures, Paul. Thanks again for sharing your experiences with us. For guys like me who live hundreds of miles from anything having to do with the hobby, your site allows us to live vicariously through you. Thanks again.
Great pictures of the displays. Me and my brother will be going to the Plastic Warrior Show Tomorrow. We hope Peter Bergner will be there as we are after a few boxes of Mars figures from him. I know Steve Weston and his wife Linda of plastic soldiers will be there. Should be a good show.
Hello
I appreciate the photos of the 2024 MFC.A show.
I was able to attend the show almost every year from 1975 to 2018 I’m 80 years old now and my wife and daughter do not appreciate any long distance driving on my part.
Thanks again.
