German Plastic Show Spring 2024 First Impressions, sorry for the slight delay in my report, but I had various other commitments that demanded my attention. Also, I had to get back into sync with my time zone. All I can say is I had a wonderful time because of my friends, especially Markus Lecksheid. So let’s get started.
German Plastic Show Spring 2024 The Trip Begins
I left on Tuesday for Germany. One decision I made was to use United over Lufthansa. I was glad I did as Lufthansa went on strike the day I left. The flight over was fine and I was met at the Frankfurt airport by my friend Markus Leckshied. He drove me up to Herne where the show was. I had a reservation at the Park Hotel. ( I will show photos of my room and the breakfast in a future post.) After a rest, Markus and I went to an Italian restaurant. We then got ready for a trip to Belgium.
Figure Additions
In the upcoming posts, I am going to go between comments on my trip and items I picked up on my trip for resale and the collection. First up is this group of Timmee farm people done in Germany that I got from a dealer in the Netherlands. The interesting figure is the man with the shovel. It was never issued here and is based on the Air force man dragging the bomb.
The Eskimo is by Kinder. I have no idea who made the other two.
Here is a better picture of the mystery pioneer I showed you recently. We still have no idea who made the molds.
The figure on the left is from the Dom Middle Eastern series I will get his name from Detlef. The next figure is unknown. The figure on the right is a French figure.
The figure on the left is a conversion figure using Timpo and other maker parts. The cowboy is unknown possible Eastern Europe.
Looking at the conversion figure from the back We see that a cowboy top and Roman body were used to make the figure.
Finally, we have this mounted Indian with a rifle. He is rubber and I have no idea who made him.
The Indian swoppet figure looks like he’s using weapons from the MPC ringhand Indians – particularly the shield. I’ve never seen them in that color – only green. Recast parts?
The bearded fellow in blue is a 1/32 scale vendor figure from the Airfix Motor racing (Slot Car) Spectators set.
The French drum must be Beffoid
Pascal
Dom Figure is from the Orient serie ” Dr.Lindsey “
Next to Dr.Lindsey there is a Carrera figure who offers food service at the car race
very interesting figures Paul .I like the dom figures especially. glad you had a great time
RE;the Cowboy by the Airfix Vendor what is the Yellow thing hanging down from his belt?A scabbard?
Yes, there is a scabbard which I have to take off.
Hey Paul, sounds like you has a great time! The German Tim Mee Farm figures look cool, did you happen to run across any German Tim Mee Army soldiers. They made them in a couple of shades of tan, light green and even some in bright colors. Difficult figures to find in The USA. Thanks for the great postings, keep them coming and stay healthy! Tim Connelly
I have three Timmee army coming for sale. The poses are rifle at waist.nurse, and grenade thrower. They tan and other shades.
The TIM-MEE figures, which were made in Germany, differ not only in the color of the plastic used, but also in the design of the figures. In my opinion, the differences concern, among other things, the boots, the helmet and the pockets on the uniform jacket.
Rainer thank you for the comments on the Timmee army. I am going to do a photo of the Timmee army I got to show the difference. I am sure the readers will like to know the difference. you are right on their boots and and other difference with the U.S. version.
Sounds good, I’ll be watching, especially for the nurse, Tim Connelly
The figure that was sold with the Carrera toy tracks was manufactured by the company “FREOHA” (Hans Froemter, Hilpoltstein). Hipoltstein is a smaller town southeast of Nuremberg. A bag is missing from his right hand. This figure is also available with a bottle instead of a small cake.
Thank you for the update on the figure.
Indian in rubber I think is made in former DDR east Germany . I forgot brand now .The cowboy with pistol is French I believe and will get brand later .
