Trying to Catch Up on Things, has been a busy time for me. I have a minor update on the mystery figure I showed recently. Next, I relate my visit to see an old friend Jim Steranko. Related to that was a trip to Zolocon.
Trying to Catch Up on Things Mystery Figure Update

As you know I placed the above photo up on my site and Facebook. It was hoped that we would get a response. It has been just the opposite. No one seems to know who made them. Erwin and I have checked with French collectors and they are just as much in the dark as we are. It is possible that the molds were made and never used. We will keep you posted.
Jim Steranko
My local comic book shop arranged to have Jim Steranko sign at their shop. Jim is a famous Marvel Comic Book artist noted for his work on Nick Fury Agent of the S.h.I.E.L.D. He also has a series of covers for the Shadow. You can read more about Streranko here.
Jim is an old friend I have not seen in years. He was to appear at a local comic book shop before his appearance at Zolocon. I did not need his autograph as I already had it. The shop had a deal if you bought $200.00 of books you had one autograph free. (Jim charges $50.00 for his autograph.) I thought I helped out the shop and bought enough for the autograph.
Jim showed up and for those who were at the comic shop, it was a pleasant experience. Not only did he sign, but Jim told how certain pieces of work he did like a Hulk cover were done. Time passed quickly. It was good to see an old friend
Zolocon 2024

I ended up going to Zolocon as I had to meet someone. while there I stopped and talked with some old friends. One of them was Chris Lamont, who is in the photo on the left. Chris twisted his ankle and missed the Friday night preview. Another friend I saw Mark McDermott who allowed me to use this photo he took. He was out of the hospital and was enjoying the show. A surprise to see was Mark Huckabone who I last saw in Delaware. He is a master dealer in action figures. Finally stopped back at Jim Steranko’s table and said hello. It was a nice pleasant day out
A few months ago I saw a large number of metal toy soldier moulds for sale on ebay. I think they were from France. Could be someone bought the moulds and they’re producing figures from them?
