This past Sunday, Laurie and I did a new toy show outside of New Hope PA. While the show was new, the location had a toy show years ago we used to attend We had enjoyed that show one of the highlights of the old show was I bought a load of Bellona 1/72 scale vacuum form pieces. We arrived at the show about ten minutes after the doors open and were able to get right in. Once inside the hall we saw the dealers were loaded with material. We also saw customers walking around with no packages.
We walked around and saw many old faces and said hello to them. I had plans not to buy things but I did find a few items. One dealer had Guts figures, another dealer had a Proccessed Plastic 2 1/2 Ton Truck. We saw Rich and Bob Kozlowski who are dealers I have known since the early 80’s Rich had some 6 inch Goldmarx I could use. I was able to get for Laurie a metal set that is a copy of the Barclay oriental scene. It has little metal buildings and other interesting pieces that she liked. For myself I got Noah’s wife from the Arco Noah’s ark set. The dealer said he had only seen three of them in his lifetime. I had not seen it and added to the collection.
While we saw some new and interesting items, I saw things with dealers we had seen them having in January of this year. There were several playsets on the grounds, a Marx Roy Rogers playset and Ideal Canadian Mounties Playset.
We were there for two hours, but most of the time was spent talking to friends. We left the show and went to get something to eat before coming home.
