September 2023 Plastic Figure Time Header Cards, I got to do more sorting and found some interesting items. I have two more header cards to share. In the figures, I found a set of Dragon Knights which James Nixon mentioned. Finally, my best score at a flea market recently was not any finds but office supplies.
September 2023 Plastic Figure time Header Cards
I am going through various boxes and found two more header cards. The first is from Marx. It is for the 60mm Disney figures. The bag contained 15 figures.
The other card is for Oliver of Spain. Known for their nativity figures They did military figures which were old Pech molds.
Figure Time
James Nixon mentioned in a comment a set he had called Dragon Knight. He was unable to send a photo. I found that I had a set in the collection. We will see if this is the item James has. One thing you will notice on the box is the price tag is in English money. Either I got it on a trip to the UK or my very good friend Peter Evans sent it to me. Either way, it is an interesting set.
Another item I found was this presentation box by Cavendish. Cavendish was a small company that did this set and souvenir box. Laurie and I had many talks with Tony the owner at Plastic Warrior Shows. The drummer is missing his drum.
Years ago I spotted this set F-Toys of Japan Historical Museum on Ebay.
The set has eight different figures.
Here is one of the figures Edward the Black Prince. He is still in the original packaging.
Here is another one the Roman Soldier Legionnary. These are nice figures for any collection.
Space Patrol Ring
This is the Space Patrol Hydrogen Ray Gun. It was issued in 1954 but I did not get one until the 70’s Actually I got several of them. They popped up at the Gilbertsville’s Farmers Market in their flea market area. They were found at a junkyard and were resold. I kept several, I gave one to Laurie as a pre-engagement ring. I have just seen what they were selling and will put this one on Ebay.
Fleamarket Finds
Today, I went out to my weekday flea market. I was curious what I would find. I did not figure I would end up buying bubble wrap. As I walked around I found a dealer who had 20-inch diameter bubble wrap for $10.00. These rolls normally sell for $29.00. I bought the last four rolls he had. (My father had a philosophy to put it in stock.)
I found a small action figure group and two plastic figure lots. The figure lots I have found a nice group of Stuart and Marx horses. Also, two Marx Indian accessories and Ideal Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.
Another reason I went to the market was to check how a friend of Laurie’s and myself Kenannie was doing. We first met her as a server at Hoss’s Steakhouse. When Hoss’s closed Kenannie went through various jobs. She set up a food stand at the market. I stopped and she is doing well.
One other thing I picked up hard candy that you can buy by the pound. It used to be $3.75 a pound. It is now $4.50 a pound due to inflation.
Hello Paul that is the Dragon Knights I was talking about very unusual set. I wonder if they did any others. So pleased you found them to show on here.
We will have to see I never know what I will find out in the markets and shows or in my own collection.
I have correct the article to show your name instead of Baldwin.
Those header cards are awesome! Would love to see the Marx Disney full bag set.
