Tank Find

Tank find

I decided to go to a local restaurant on Saturday. The one road I use to go to the restaurant comes to a T then I have to do a left. As I got to the T, I saw a yard sale in from of me with toys. I stopped and took a look. The first thing I spotted was this tank which I picked up. Before I could ask a price the woman running the yard sale said I could have it for ten cents. Looking I did not see any other military, but found some Imaginext superheroes in bags. she gave everything for $12.00 and I head for lunch.

The “Tank” looks like the Korean K200 Infantry Fighting Vehicle.Interesting a Company would produce it.I assume “Made in China” what are the dimensions and any Company maker name on the underside?Thanx

  2. Tom Black says:

Great job on the Horse and Elephant conversions. What is the name of the 2nd Russian set that looks like Cossacks or Chechens?

  3. ERWIN SELL says:

The anacronic type Bradley M2 is a copy of a copy made and base in GALOOB brand toys series large size that bring the smaller vehicles and small soldiers inside ,the early original chinese upscale and more realist copy was sold in early 2000 on blister card and have several doors hatches compartment that open with real turret as that of M2 or more accurate .This is a cheaper redone copy made more recently and include with chinese made copies figures in bags.I have the originals if need photos of them .

    A question for Steve
How did you craft the elephant: is it 3D resin printed? Or a converted model: which brand?

The Hanomack set looks odd in uniforms as is a mix up of alpine german style uniforms(Gebirgsjäger) mix up with else .That is not Jaeger Finish uniform. The artillery piece is not a cannon but the 8.8 cm Raketenwerfer 43 Puppchen or a reusable anti-tank rocket launcher very uncommon used by alpine units on wheels but rather mounted on skis unless not in mountain regions .A very lethal AT weapon but limited produced also .Nice addition to the plastic 1/32 range as not made before unless on kits .I think the set represent the late period of WW2 very obscure less known “Lapland War” when Finnland turned against their former allied ,the Germans and made some small combats and skirmish for some months till wars end .
