June 2023 Figure Roundup Kvalitel Update
Hungarian Figure Production
Szabo is the author of a book on Hungarian figure production.
The volume has thus far attempted to collect the designs and variations of plastic figures produced in Hungary from the late 1960s to 1990. Szabo had a hard time finding information due to records being lost. Many of the figures were copies of other companies’ figures.
One example of this is figures done by Kassa Gyorgy. He copied three different sets of Atlantic including Indian camp.
The second set is Buffalo Hunt and the third set is Custer. The Custer figure does not have the arrows in him. I have ordered the book and will tell you when it comes in.

A company on Facebook Store71rus is showing various new figures from Russian companies. Here we have Lapland by Hanomak.
Another set from Hanomak 1941
This set is also from Hanomak and is listed as the Black Legion.
From Tithon fighting Monks
For the Viking lover five great poses are also by Tithon.
Publius has done some knights to celebrate the Battle of Poitiers for some reason the figures are in this video. Please note this information is for reference only.
Thanks for the update, Paul! Great stuff! Hopefully, we’ll be able to purchase these and other figures before too much longer.
The Scythian archer is firing a toy arrow with a toy bow.
While the bows may looks small apparently early bows of these Scythian warriors have very small size ,least in many archeological findings and depictions made by them small bows were used so far .
The figures depict are base on it apparently .
One interesting article showing an actual era depictions is in this link but there many more ,the small bows were the many types used by Scythian warriors they range from 30 or less up to 67 inches

Ok, well maybe his arm is too long or the arrow too short. The bowstring should be drawn back to the chin to allow the archer to sight the arrow at the target.
As it is his aim will be poor and the small bow will not give much range or velocity. I think it’s an unrealistic pose.
I agree in the pose and bow not draw correctly versus measures .The figures overall have the weapons made short and odd in several sets on this maker unfortunately.
