Knights Romans Lone Star Western Buildings, I give an update on some knights I previously showcase. This time I can share the Romans that were made at the same time. Next, I will share the Lone Star western buildings. Tom Lozowski shares a memory of Ed Borris.
Knights Romans Lone Star Introduction
Billy Hill posted on Facebook that he has gotten these figures from Amazon. I recognize them as the knights I had talked about before. Also, included the Romans that had been hard to get.
There are three Roman poses. Only one of the figures has weapons an archer. More on this in a bit.
The figures are being sold by Art Creativity. Each bag has two sets of eight figures. The figures are 2 1/2 inches tall or 63mm, As mentioned earlier some of the figures do not come with weapons. You can use Timpo or Playmobil weapons. The figures cost $15.87 a bag plus postage.
Lone Star Western Buildings
Lone Star made a series of metal figures. The series were cowboys, Indians, Napoleonic, and knights. The figures were copied in Hong Kong in metal and plastic. Lone Star sold the figures on individual cards or in box sets. This is the first time I have seen the figures boxed with a building. Also for the first time, the figures are painted normally they are unpainted
The building was done for its plastic line and is like a Plasticville building. You snap it together. Each building consists of a front, back, two sides, and a roof.
There are five sets in the series
3601 Saloon and figures
2. 3602 Trading Post and figures
3. 3603 Forge and figures
4. 3604 claims office and figures
5. 3605 fort and figures
Ed Borris a Memory
Tom Lozowski sent me this photo of Ragnar Craigsson with Ed Borris. Ed as you remember was part of the hobby until his recent passing. He had his room loaded with goodies and his conversion. Hopefully, there will be a remembrance for him and Nick Versteeg at the Chicago Toy Soldier Show .
I looked on the Art Creativity company website yesterday and they also sell Cowboys & Indians and Pirates.
