Update Eldon Jeep New Figures Hanomak, I start off with an update on the Eldon Jeep in blue. Next, we start looking at the new figures from Hanomak, Plastic Platoon, Conte Collectibles, and others.
Update Eldon Jeep New Information
In the last post, I showed this color variation of Eldon Jeep. We got several responses including photos from our old friend Kirk Larson.Kirk pointed out that the jeep was part of a helicopter set. Here is the box for the helicopter.Eldon also did the jeep in red for a plane. It is interesting that I had not seen the other colors before this.
Hanomak Executioners
Hanomak has produced a set of six different executioners from different eras.
Update Eldon Jeep New Figures Chintoys Knights
Following on the heels of their musketeers, Chintoys is doing two more sets. The first one is Holy Roman warriors. The other companion set is French Warriors. Each set has eight different figures. A lot of great poses to use. The tentative timeline is late April.
Plastic Platoon Eltie Troops
Plastic Platoon is showing photos of their Elite German troops set two. As you can see contains a machine gun team and panzerfaust team. (Greg or Erwin will give us what type they are.) No date when they will be released.
Warhansa Landsknechts
Warhansa has done some Landsknechts with longswords. Also, Warhansa is doing Landsknechts with rifles and a crossbow.
Update Eldon Jeep New Figures Conte Collectibles Romans and Barbarians
Here we have the various poses of set two of the Conte Romans. Each figure is shown with the various alternate pieces that will come with each figure. Here is another of the Viking poses slated to come out in December. This is Einar, I can’t wait for these figures.
Mars and Elastowit
Normally I would talk about the above future Mars set. Instead, I have to ask you for your prayers and support for the people of Mars and Elastowit. Both of these companies are situated in Ukraine. They are right now are defending their country from the Russian invasion. Never in our lifetime have we had plastic figure companies closed due to war. At the moment we have no more information. As we hear anything we will let you know.
Interesting on Eldo ,never see such plane looks like a Catalina odd type.
About PP set ,they are WW SS personnel and are armed as follow .
Firing- charging with ZB-30 or ZB-30J ,kneeling firing heavy machine gun ZB-53 Both these weapons are of Czechoslovak origin and continued to be produced and used by Germans after 1939.The ZB-53 was copied by British and produced with minor variation as Besa Machine gun and the ZB-30 variation known as Czechoslovak ZGB 33 was copied by British and developed as the Bren LMG
The pose kneeling firing a Panzerschreck and other kneeling pose has what appear one rocket for same weapon pulling it out the box .The last pose with bullets belt for the ZB53 heavy machine gun in one hand and has an Assault rifle MP43/44 later redesigned and named as (StG 44) in the other hand .By uniform style it appear late 1943 early 1944 .
The Warhansa Landsknecht figures have early arquebus that were predecessor of flintlock musket. Rifles were not used as weapon in armies yet but were already invented as early harquebus with spirally grooved gun were patented in late XV century however their use were slow and limited because the cleaning issues .
Interesting .The Chintoy and Warhansa are making a competition of same era war period before EXF start with theirs .XIV to early XVI periods
About executioner set .
Most executioner cover their faces and while interesting their poses looks like after act and more like statues poses .I have no use for those personally .
If that is samurai in such set that is wrong .Samurai were not executioner neither do so as deem dishonorable .They assist the seppuko ritual witch is not an execution but rather a suicide voluntary choice to no face dishonor and was finished by an assistant of samurai low or mid class ,often a family member or a choice of the person who was dying .The assistant was not part of any government justice punishments system .No all seppuko acts require an assistant either .Common execution in medieval japan were made by non samurai of any class but by soldiers or specific person designed of not samurai class.
Conte figures looks awesome !!!Viking remains me of the classic film .
Good for all .
For now I personally have put stop to all from Russia till Ukraine invasion stop .
Will not support any hobby from Russia till then .
my thoughts
best
What is missing from the plastic toy soldier hobby is 1/32 scale toy helicopters. That Eldon one looks nice, what is the scale?
All these Renaissance figure sets and more coming from Ex Force? It’s tempting to get into this era, I’ll have to read up more on the military history of this era.
Sad situation in Ukraine. A result of the Russians letting their Democracy get crushed by billionaires and a sociopath something we should be wary of here in the USA.
The plane is a Convair Tradewind. It was designed to be a flying LST. It had difficulties holding its position for amphibious landings and eventually all were scrapped. A modified version was used as a tanker.
interesting!!!Never seen this either .
Unfortunately I’m not in to most kit models ,too fragile and too many small pieces ,plus not time .I had only used/built few Bandai/Nichimo, IMAI and Otaki brands as far less pieces and sturdy material built plus 1/32 to 1/30 .Also the Russian few 1/30 made with barely few pieces plug together and almost no glue kits .These Russian kits are made of very great quality plastic forgot brand now ..Their T/34.ISU and SU are awesome .
best
Yes that is the brand ,the T/34 is like more 1/32 while rest are 1/30 or close base in compare with FV 1/32 armor chassis dimensions .They did least 2 nice Soviet era space satellite space craft type (Soyuz and vostok ) as well in 1/30 too with two crews cosmonauts .Very nice .
Is the same company that for some time run the former Marx 60 mm sets(Pirates, Viking Egyptians cowboys, romans and knights) in former Soviet Union/now in Ukraine country ? I guess .

I agree on Helicopters
But I also see with today prices the cost making and price to be sold.
Most likely will be prohibited x most.

Thank you for plane data ,interesting!!!
I may try get one one day if looks in scale for any of the figures I have .
It is not 54mm. Just a toy scale. The helicopter is the Sikorksky H-37 Mojave.
Was not expecting any new chintoys for a few months atleast, is there any proof that the new sets are real? Don’t want to get my hopes up.
The Chintoy Musketeers and Richielu figures have shown up at various shows this past weekend including Westcoater.

One of the first models I ever built 60 years ago. It also comes in a massive 1/72 scale by Amodel. I have it built in one of my display cases.
I been looking for any maker that had produce the J-52 in 1/35 or 1/32 .Either I miss or none has produce it .
Are you referring to ogonek models? They are a Russian model company that makes the T-34, IS-3, ISU-122 and ISU-152 in 1/30 scale.
