New Figure News Galore Elastowit
Warhansa Monkey Warriors
- Wearing a horn helmet with club and round shield
- Stand with a spear
- Jumping holding a spear in his left arm and holding a club in his feet.
- Standing with a staff
- Swinging a club
I have no idea why they did these figures or if they are the first of a series.
Sure would like to order the US Cavalry & Injuns. Hopefully you’ get an email address for him. Any idea about price for the Cavalry ??
As usual, the Warhansa figures are beautiful; sadly wrong scale for me. Great display items – which might tempt me if I had a place. Hopefully do a set in 54mm? Doesn’t hurt to ask…
The Mars figure? They continue to be a mover and shaker for World War 2 and at a reasonable price. I don’t quibble they don’t match Conte or TSSD as they go along with my “old” scale WW2 figures and really look great with my old Marx, Airfix and others. I have just “resigned” myself to having “two” scales and using them accordingly. Really looking forward to their tank crews and WW2 GI/Ranger sets coming.
Conte? As usual superlatives fail.
With LOD’s ARW cavalry it looks like I’m going to have a long Christmas “wish list.”
It’s hard to tell what kind of plastic/density the Elasto-Wit figures are made of. I see a lot of “conversion” possibilities with the cav figures, but when I used to chop up BMC CW figs, I nearly lost a finger or two because of the odd density of the plastic.
I agree these figures would probably blend well with Timmee figures. They are similar to BMC, too. Like BMC– clunky, but if thoughtfully painted, they could be decent toy soldiers.
I know Erwin Sell knows a lot about plastics/ chemical combinations/ mold tolerances… I hope he will chime in.
Also, I have to second the comments above by Rich Fisher and Wayne W.
The LOM figures are by Tihon Figures. The range started in April and was added to in July. Tihon, Prikaz and Warhansa have a joint venture called The Hobby Bunker, not to be confused with the original HB in the US. One of the Tihon British officers duplicates a pose used by LOD in their AWI British set.
I realize later that the LOM figures are Tihon. Thanks for the update.
Elastowit definitely will blend with TM as most TM are 75 or the equivalent to German most used scale 75/80 mm max by Western and DDR makers .
Also they will perfectly blend match in scale with Aurburn,Bergen,Ajax ,marx3″;Most Spaniards brands western such Jecasn,Comansi, most Reamsa .
TM horses may be good for those riders as ITALERI are for 1/32 figures .
I do not know the plastic type consistency used by maker of Elastowit unfortunately.
Tihon 75 mm poses figures are probably made to blend same scale as well .
Conte roman shield poses are super well done and super smart idea.
The” ape-man” African figures are funny .They looks more as Apes dress in folklore African war dress. I hope it does not offend any one out there .
Conan pose is actually extracted from first film Conan scene where he is practicing with sword ,he repeat the same pose twice in the film during action .
The pose can be seen in this part video at around minutes/seconds 1/34 to 1/36
Paul Stadinger, thank you so much for the great review of the ElastoWit Wild West Women set😊😉
And yes, these are already out and available.
The material is rubber (soft elastic plastic)
If you like conversions, the material cuts and glues up with super glue like magic!
Enjoy!
