Odds Ends Greg Liska's Homemade Mine
Greg Liska has made a mining set for his stepson. Here is what he said. “I just finished making a mine shaft for my stepson, who just flipped out on the idea of getting a mining set after seeing one on eBay. This is made out of cardboard, styrofoam, popsicle sticks, with spray paint and marker-drawn details. Cost: $0.00, all made from stuff lying around. We have some small RR tracks that will fit right in the shaft, too.

I like the simple design that Greg did. What do you think?

Plastic Platoon Japanese Naval Landing Forces Set

 Japanese Officer.
Mikhail Glikin has posted photos on Facebook of the second series of World War Two Japanese figures. The figures represent the Japanese Naval Forces. I have posted here the photos for those who do not do Facebook. The first photo is of a Japanese officer. It is interesting he is with a saber instead of a samurai sword.
Odds Ends Greg Liska's grenade thrower
The second photo is looking from the top-down of the Japanese naval soldier throwing a grenade. In his left hand is a bayonet rifle. I will let the experts explain the equipment.

The third pose is a soldier kneeling firing a bayonet rifle.
Odds Ends Greg Liska's charging
We are looking at the back of the Japanese naval soldier charging figure. You will notice he is wearing his gas mask.
Odds Ends Greg Liska's running with automatic weapon
Here we have a Japanese running with an automatic weapon. I can’t wait to hear more about it.
Odds Ends Greg Liska's ack side
We have a closeup of the back of the Japanese grenade thrower. You will notice he has naval insignia. Like the charging figure, he has a gas mask that the naval troops wore.

What a great job on the mine entrance. Your son will really remember that and the time you took to make that for him.

The PP Japanese are superb; we expect nothing less from them.
