Warhansa English Knights Part Two Rahway has clued me in that this company is doing another set of knight figures. Conte Collectibles has announced their Romans are arriving. We look at some new figures from No Name and Plastic Platoon.
Warhansa English Knights Part Two Poses
- Running with sword out with shield.
- Standing with sword and shield.
- Standing with an ax in both hands
- Advancing with sword and shield. the sword is out to the right.
- Knight holding two-handed sword bareheaded.
Detail on the Bushy Run figure is outstanding
Awesome in Conte.
The Hanomak
German grenadier is nice, these units had poorly represented in figures.
The Romans looks like late republic era.
It’s encouraging to see new figures coming out. Maybe someone will do some original 54mm COWBOYS soon!!!!!!
It’s really too bad that for the final German Mountain Troop that the sculptor forgot to add the details that actually make him look like a Mountaineer! Some Goggles and Gloves would have been nice. Perhaps some rope and a Pick Axe? He looks more Africa Korps than MT Troop.
I agree partially ,but he still has spikes mountain boot with tracks and wore no DAK boots neither pants and the hat is M43 non tropical definitely with folder ear neck flaps ,tropical DAK hats was simple thin made with not folded flaps ,
The hat is very clear a Gebirgsjäger’s ski cap recognized by a high peak, a teardrop shaped top, a short bill, and a small skirt that folds down to protect the ears in cold.
Figure has also the Gewehr 33/40 carbine ,especially for use in the Gebirgsjäger (German mountain troops) only .
But in my opinion grenadiers were not used much on mountain to avoid avalanches ,light mg 34 or MG 42 pose would be more logic base in unit weaponry used more often by Gebirgsjäger who were supplied with it always with average double amount magazine extras and one more weapon versus standard infantry units
Yet if not confortable the pose can still be use x other purpose if painted over as well .
From left to right :
Reginald Front-de-Bœuf
Guy of Gisbourne
The Black Knight (King Richard the Lionheart in disguise)
Brian de Bois-Guilbert
Sheriff of Nottingham
For some reason some of those WARHANSA resemble the prince Valiant film or more the original comic depiction characters by Hal Foster.
