Japanese Special Naval Landing Force, we have once again from Scott of Expeditionary Force his next release. This time it is Japanese Naval forces.
Expeditionary Force Japanese Special Naval Landing Force the Figures

Greetings from Singapore!
Very pleased to inform you of the release of a new set in the “54mm WW2 Pacific War” range.
54 PWJ 05 Japanese Special Naval Landing Force (“SNLF”)
All models are supplied unpainted.
54 PWJ 04 Japanese Special Naval Landing Force (at a Banzai Charge!)
The set contains 9 model soldiers comprising of 1 officer and 8 infantrymen. The range of weapons includes a Type 99 7.7mm light machine gun; a Type 93 3-cylinder flame-thrower; and the option for a bugler carrying a battle banner. The set is designed for a banzai charge scenario with the soldiers screaming bloody murder.
The heads and arms are interchangeable with models and parts in the previous box sets in this series.

We have designed the Officer as wearing the pith sun helmet as seen in the movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” as it seems to be more compatible with the fabric-covered helmets of the other ranks.

The bayonet charge is a formidable tactic of the Japanese and in the face of a less determined opponent, the impetuous charge often carries its objectives as the opponent melts away. This is often the case at the early stages of the Pacific War whether in Malaya or in the Philippines.

At the later stages of the war, their opponents are by then mentally prepared and the charges turn into costly, ineffective suicidal tragedies.

For the Japanese, the Navy ranks above the Army in prestige and has a higher claim to the scarce resources. The SNLF is part of the Navy. In their southern front strategy, the Navy takes the lead and accordingly established a large landing force to fight the many island battles.
The distinction of the SNLF uniform includes the anchor badge on the helmet, another badge on the right arm, and around water bottle instead of the rectangular ones issued by the Army. Their shirt fabric is supposed to be of a greenish shade but for the sake of mutual swapping of parts, we decided to produce the set in the same color as the reset in the range.
All the above can be swapped with the parts of the other box sets in the range to increase their weapon choices.
With the release of this set, the Japanese series of box sets is complete for now.
British Soldiers

There will be options for the models to be wearing the Brodie helmet (plain or netted); Mark III turtle shell helmet (plain or netted); bush hats (ANZACs); berets (special forces); and turbans (Sikhs). We may do one for the Malays (songkok) and Gurkhas (sloped hat).
The above are work-in-progress and the modeling clay parts will have some changes upon completion.
The weapons to be included will be the SMLE rifle; the sniper rifle; the Thompson sub-machine gun; the Sten gun; the Bren Light Machine-Gun; the Vickers Heavy Machine-Gun; the 2-inch mortar; the 3-inch mortar; and the PIAT.
Persian Heavy Cavalry

Our re-tooling of the Persian Heavy Cavalry set (60 PSN 06 Y) is near completion. This is a parallel project (outside the new product production queue) and it may be re-released within April or May 2021.
Nice sets! Looking forward to the Far East British sets.
