Rich Fisher Needs Information
Rich sent me this request. I’m trying to get info on an MPC #3061 Fess Parker Daniel Boone ” Frontier Attack” playset. Need a GOOD photo of the box. copy of the instruction sheet. & a contents list. I bought the set on eBay but it’s incomplete, the box isn’t too good. & NO instruction sheet. Want to complete the set so I would appreciate any & all help. Thanks- Rich.
Accordion player is a bit of a waste.
$23.95 plus shipping per plastics figure!???No way ,sorry that is above logic in my book
Who is the artist Michelangelo descendant ?
I think Publius and few others had gone too far with this .
my thoughts
best
Hi Brian– there was time when I would have agreed with you, but these days I think it is fun– and even historically important — to model, collect, and display the many other aspects of History .
Though much of History IS war, the conflicts/politics/situations involve more than just generals and “sojers”.
I first realized this when I got the Barzo ACW Campsite. Soldiers sitting around, eating grub, trying to forget the impending battle, remembering loved ones… it was brilliant.
I had a huge ACW 54mm diorama. But I could only have so much “action” at a time. The Barzo set allowed me to humanize the scenario— and it was fun to paint.
Also, in any conflict or cultural experience it is music that drives the hearts, souls, and passions of the common soldiers and their families. In Russian History, it is the accordionist that cheaply provides the emotion & sentiment of a Bolshoi Orchestra to the suffering in the trenches and the villages. And many an American movie has the mournful harmonica player…
Bottom line, though, I’m glad there is still new product. And as a guy who likes conversions, I might be able to modify the accordion player. thx
The Russian civil war ,revolution or else set is very nice peculiar set ,could go well with early EB set of same short intense Russia and non Russian countries affected by it ,yet I have no room fir it in my collection ,also a very narrow v particular use x it as hard to be used x other .I bet for any with room and Russian has a lot of like .Nice well done figures. The accordion pose is more likely symbolic but same time has rest one more action pose of set that many will love to have instead ,yet the cultural image representation of it has it value and is very well welcome pose as well by others I bet .

The Chinese have been on the Publius site since the last week in January. They are described as 75MM resin kits and the price for each kit is 800 rubles ($10.70 USD) excluding shipping.

Does anyone know what figures Chintoys will be doing next.
The reissued Marx horses that CTS has shows the same blanket detail as the photo.
Hi Eddie,
I appreciate the response. I love recast horses because they are fun to paint.
I ordered many in the 90’s–including CTS– but never saw any with the blanket detail.
I have some cacalry horses from Marx 60’s sets that are “blank” on this detail as well.
I googled CTS’ site, but the photos are unclear. If you have a good phone/cam, please send some pics to the site.
My horse looks white in the photo, but it is the “buttery” creamy-lite-yellow of many eary Marx figures. Thanks.
