Plastic Platoon Cavalry Gatling Gun

In my personal view. The Japanese with exception of typical PP so well detailed sculpted work and pose advancing with grenade launcher-type 89 are almost the same standard action poses depicted by most makers in the Japanese sets, not originality as making the same style poses with same weapons all over.
I wish I could have able recast the OWN Japanese WW 2 sets as they had quite nice new poses made covered plus artillery crews and cannons. But unfortunately no luck on this
The PP US cavalry set is nice well done but I can use many US cavalry -union already made poses to create or do the same using other Gatling guns made.
My point is PP like put very well done sculpted figures for the top price ever, so to have figures in poses made or covered by others x such price in my personal like is not worthed
Anyhow, I wish than look and no doubt nice super well-done figures.
my thoughts
Hello Erwin which OWN Japanese was they. I only remember the German trained Chinese troops in three sets. They did a set of WW 1 type Japanese with backpacks which I have.
Hi James .
Well no quite ww1 japanese, but 1888-1910 japanese(For fist SINO JAPNESE war,Boxer rebellion and Russo japanese war 1904-1905 ,they differ in uniform and rifles versus the later reformed army uniforms of IJA 1911 .But yes you are correct and those are the set you have as are the ones i sold and was able recast along the same era chinese soldier 8 banner armies-not boxer as not peasants-They have chinese Imperial manchu uniforms.
I understand people use then as boxer and others x WW1 because slight similarity ,I heard someone sold the Japanese as mexican federal armies soldier last Mexican civil war period too,in that case they differ even more . But off course many figures could pass as others in some cases .
For their period WW2 and other wars OWN produce the Chinese 1936-1943 nationalist army 88 division and other german trained divisions(I sold too) to match with 3 sets of WW2 Japanese marines and infantry plus artillery set made as foe as well chinese communist army made too (I did not sold these) .Those never issue as well other sets armies the ,mold were done as i saw all then .But Will not be recast ,sorry
BANZAI !!!
Wow!! Plastic Platoon makes some great looking figures. I’ll want to obtain a Gatling Gun set as soon as they are out. Still looking for the trooper shooting behind downed horse.
I bought mine on eBay.

Just ordered two from MicShaun’s Closet @ $44.99 each with free shipping. No more Foreign orders for me until after the Election and after Christmas.

As usual, superbly realized figures. I personally don’t care whether a pose is redundant to other sets as long as they are well done – after all the small variety in the figures lends a bit of realism to a setting.
But, again, I will sadly have to pass as they are much over-priced for my budget.
Hello Erwin, if you have access to the OWN Japanese Tripp’s I would be interested in having helping them get produced, I believe you have my Facebook please pm me.
I really hope you and Erwin can get that going! I missed out on them first time around. If you can do it, please choose a slightly less flexible plastic and offer a khaki or light brown option. I’m one of those guys who would use them for Mexican Federales.
I love the PP Japanese officer. He looks like the Airfix officer, just one second later.
Least this time PP used more likely the right hat,in previous set poses had use wrong hat..
that is good thing …
To all; more plastic news. Jeff Imel has the New San Juan Hill Playset both on Ebay and on his website plus on his website three different packaging of 12 figure ” Rosie the Riviteer’ bagged sets.
It’s my usual gripe with the PP Japanese, could we just have a plain FLAT base otherwise very nice.
